Dish TV.... Finally DTH has arrived.... Well its been a long time since I wrote a review. Finally took time out to pen down my thoughts.So here it goes,,,,Was tired of the cableman and his pranks, signal breakdown, mono sound, bad picute qulaity blah blah blah....Was on a lookout for installing DTH, and Dish TV has been a very old player in the market for the same.Although Tata Sky is getting launched... but it will take its own sweet time to come in ....and higher costs are involved...Another reason for jumping on to Dish TV now,,, Is that its giving Sony,Axn,Mtv,HBO some of the channels I like to watch.Others will come in shortly as soon as Tata Sky is launched Star Tv will be availabile on Dish.(Thanks to TRAI)Now to the real thing, pricing and cost....Earlier Dish TV used to cost somewhere aroung 6K with 1 year free subscription to all channels and all.Now they have reduced the prices and are giving 3 months package along with it.What I personally will recommend is go for all the channels package that is 110 channels and will include any new additions too.Now on the package offer - mainly 3 packages are thereDish Maxi offer - Rs 3490 cost, another 200 installation charges and all totoal comes out to Rs 3700 - total 110 channelsDish Welcome offer - Rs 3190, another 200 installation charges total Rs 3400 - 75 Channels The Price is inclusive set top box rental for 5 years, handling charges and all applicable taxes. Recommended installation charges Rs 200/- extra. Octroi as applicable

Well personally I will recommed the maxi as u get everything and 3 months to decide wht u want ???

Now how to go about installtion -visit the Dish TV website - https://dishtvindia.in/U can find the nearest dealer and locator, call him up and get the details....here my experience was bitter, as I am in HSR layout in bangalore and called up a few dealers in bommanhali,BTM,kormangala,but thier response was poor, some asked me to come down, some said payment first,and it went on and on...Until I called this place up - Hindusthan Electronics These guys were excellent, they came home the very next morning with the dish , box,nd equipment,within 20 minutes entire thing was setup, and I was recieving the free to air channels.The paid channels start coming in within 48 hours once ur VC is activated.VC is a viewing card, just like a credit card that has a specific no, and u have to activate it to get ur subscription running.Well that got activated within 24 hours, so I was impressed with that too.....Channels are good, picture quality is crisp no snow, sound quality is stereo sound and really rocks.u can use a splitter and connect multiple tv’s but will be able to watch only the same channel on all the TV’s.So here we go,My overall Dish TV experience was excellent and the reception awesome.Will recommend Dish TV anytime, for people who want more than thier cablewallahs can offer and dont want a run around. My Total cost incurred in set up -Package and chanrges 3690, wiring extra 450,labour 350Total I spent 4500 change as I had a splitter already at home, now all my TV’s are working at home..... Well my Dish TV is still going on even after 3 long months, excellent service and reception,

Just added Rs 500 to account and got my subsription renewed , damm easy, everything can be done online, with the latest scheme they have further reduced prices and a special offer is going on,

Well all I can say is Dish TV is reliable and trustable,....

Tata Sky - well once they come out with ther channel package then we will get to know which one ends up as best, as ultimatel wht matters is wht u pay for the channels you watch and which one is cheaper .

Well I am planning to buy Tata Sky, will update on the same once I go though with it
