How do you promote an utterly inferior product as a valued one? Get Shah Rukh Khan to endorse it. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, Dish TV has nothing worth talking about. On the contrary, it looks like they have made it their mission statrement to provide the most failure prone inferior and worthless product to the average Indian.
I have been using Dish TV for the past 8 months. I can vouch for the fact that they have succeeded in providing me dirusrupted service every day of those eight months. They have the most haphazard and inconsistent plans which have been cleverly crafted to deceive the subscriber each time they renew such that one never gets the channels he wants despite paying high for them. I could never get the same plan the second trime and I am always forced to accept 3 channels that are absolutely worthless to me for every one channel that I want. After a few days, the one channel I really want starts to disappear off the TV without any warning. I bought a package for all telugu channels the last time. It lasted well for a month. After that Maa TV and Teja started to go off at 7 PM every day. The package I bought allowed me 5 movie channels but I must have missed some really fine print that 3 of the 5 disappeared after some time.
Dish TV makes it a point to confuse the subscriber and make him pay more and more by offering less and less. One drop of rain and DISH TV vanishes. It returns after the clouds are cleared, often hours later.
Their menus and programming is miles below the standard set by TATA SKY. I hated Tata for their poor internet but I was really surprised by the zero trouble service my parents received in a small village for more than an year. Dish failed their metro customers religiously.
No point in calling the helpdesk. they either never answer or respond late. In any case, their field maintenance staff make it a point to visit your home when they are sure you are not at home. Even if I am at home, they make a fake attempt at fixing the problem which resurfaces a day after the"fix" it.
In short, Dish TV is the most unprofessional and inferior service ever provided to Indians. It is a criminal waste of money. I hope they are bankrupt soon.
