SUPERSTITIOUS INDIANS.

India is a colorful country with different type of people, language, religion, cast etc. We can find the change from state to state; this is the beauty of India 'unity in diversity'. But there is a weakness in Indians, Indians are very superstitious.

Before continuing my review I would like to request that what ever I write in this review is my point of view, there is no intention to hurt any ones feelings. I hope u all will take this in a right manner.

Since my childhood I have being living between the people of different religions and cast, so I have an idea of different culture and worship methods of different people. Hindu religion is one of the biggest religions in India; it is one of the religions which have beautiful culture and traditions .I fell that Hindus are more superstitious than any other religion, they have thousands of gods, for marriages they give more importance to kundlu, mohurtham, rahukal etc. Then I have seen pandiths who not even drink water from low cast people. The custom in India changes from state to state. In Hindus itself I have seen different methods of worship, some are very funny and some are very dangerous too. During my school days, one Bihari family was living near my house. There was one person who spent most of his time in puja room; this room was full of posters of different gods and goddess. Some time we use to here screaming and shouting sounds from there house. Earlier we thought some accident might have occurred, but later we found that it was the part of puja (worship) actually he was beating one boy with sticks to remove the evil spirit from him. Unfortunately that boy was my good friend who later died due to this torture. This boy was suffering from malaria and his parent's in spite of taking him to the hospital brought him to this man; here he was tortured with hot wax and sticks.

Then I have seen some funny customs also there was one pandithji in our locality who some time call cows roaming around and give rotis (Indian bread), and then he takes Ashivards (blessings) by touching the cows head. After all this drama when the cows refuse to leave his courtyard he brings a big stick and beat the cow.

In Hindu religion we can find thousands of gods, I realized that every third person in Hindus believe in different god. It is a well known fact that Ramayana and Mahabharata is an ethic means (kalpanic katha) written by valmiki. If Ramayana is an ethic then how does ram become god and why are people praying to him? If it is an ethic then why is this ram janm bhumi (birth place of ram) issue and why people wasting there time in fighting for the one who doesn't exists? Similarly I have seen people praying to trees like banyan tree, neem, banana, tulsi etc. Worshiping animals like cow, elephants, snake, monkey, rivers etc. Just think how these things can hear your prayers. In India people have more faith in these than themselves. I think this is the area where we have to think about.

There is only one God Hindus call him Brahma, Muslims call him Allah and Christians call him Jesus. Christians and Muslims are maintaining the same traditions from thousands of years. This is because they are united and having control on its people, like Muslims are controlled by Mecca, Christians are under Pope, all the Christians in the world have the same rules and are maintaining the discipline. I think Hindus lacks this kind of leadership, they have to be controlled by good leader otherwise there faith will go in wrong direction which is happening in India. I don't want to hurt any one feeling. It is true we follow what our parents taught us in our childhood. I just want to ask you is that not important for you to know about whom you have faith more than your parents, yourself or any body else.

Only India has maximum number of public holydays in the world, in this way we are wasting many working hours. My dear friends I just want you all to live and think practically.

I apologies if any of my comment have hurted any ones feeling. I hope you will take this in a good way.

I will be waiting for the comments on this review.
