No it’s not the movie Dirty Dancing instead it’s the soundtrack to the movie. I just loved Dirty Dancing the movie, but the songs was what made the movie. Did you know the main actor Patrick Swayze also sang a song in the movie? Yep he sure did, not only was he a great actor, but his song was pretty cool too. I like the CD cause it reminds me of the movie when I listen to it. The songs are up beat and romantic and they all seem to have that sexy style of lyrics that all girls love. The sound track is full of all the songs from the movie, and each song is sung by someone different, and I will list a few of the better songs on the CD to give you an idea of what all is on it, and reason’s why I liked each song. This CD has two to it’s set, so there is a total of 27 songs. The first CD has 12 songs, and the Second CD has 15 songs. I wont mention each song or else it would take up all my space to write. I will just name a few other songs that I really didn’t listen to as much at the bottom of the review.

The song (I’ve had) the time of my life sung by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes was the hit song to this movie and the soundtrack. In the movie this song was the hit song at the end of the movie were the two actors showed everyone their dirty dancing moves. Now the song that Patrick Swayze sang is called She’s like the wind. This is a very slow song, yet so romantic. I was surprised that Patrick knew how to sing. I didn’t know it was him until I read the back of the CD.

Hungry Eyes sung by Eric Carmen is more of a fast song. The beat is cool and original and the lyrics are seductive. In the movie Patrick Swayze and Babe dance sexy to this song. Big Girls Don’t Cry sung by Frankie Valli & the 4 Seasons. This is an odd song, yet funny the lyrics are cool and the sound is awesome. I believe this song was played during the time Patrick and Babe were just goofing off during their dance rehearsal.

All the songs on these two CD’s are oldies, but yet goodies. I never thought I would listen to this type of music, but when I seen the movie Dirty Dancing and heard all the songs in the movie I was amazed at how much I enjoyed the songs. I then rushed out and bought the soundtrack when it came available. What’s so great also about this two CD disk is you have a wide range of songs to choose from. You can use this CD during a party to get the men and women up and around, and maybe show off some of their own Dirty Dancing.

Each song is different and brings so many emotions into the feeling of the song and it is a sure winner for your own enjoyment or to bring along with you for friends to listen to as well.

Other songs on the two disk CD

Will you love me tomorrow (The Shirelles)?

Trot the fox (Michael Lloyd, Le Disc)

Cry to me (Solomon Burke)

De Todo un poco (Michael Lloyd, Le Disc)

These arms of mine (Otis Redding)

Whip out (The Safaris)

Those are just a few more songs on the CD. I think you will enjoy this soundtrack and I would suggest you buy it and also rent the movie as well.
