Movie Review: DIL TO BACcHA HAI JI

The Movie "Dil to Baccha Hai Ji" is a very nice light romantic comedy movie. The Lead casts and crew has done quite well in the movie. Best part of the movie is the comic timing which had made the movie enjoyable.
The movie throws a light on the love and romantic life of three persons. These three persons have different perspectives and beliefs about love and romantic life. "Naren Ahuja" as "Ajay Devgan", who although has a "wife" as "Rituparna Sengupta" and a daughter but he is not happy with his wife and still he found his love partner otherwise. "Milind Kelkar" as "Omi Vaidya" is a person who is poet and he has only simple perspective about love life that he should firstly get married and then he should go for sex, etc. He hate sex before marriage. Then their is an another person named as "Abhay" as "Emraan Hashmi" who has completely different and opposite perspective about love-life that "So aur Sone Do!."
"Ajay Devgan" as "Naren Ahuja" finds his partner "Shazahn Padamshee" as "June Pinto" in his office who has newely joined the office. Naren fall in love with her at the first sight. He started getting romantic feeling for her. As a new boss, she also started spending time with him at everytime like at Lunch, Dinner and as well as at parties etc. There are many romantic scenes in the movie which are also very striking and shocking. Such as the scene in which she is changing her top in front of him while he was driving in the car for the party and another scene in which "Ajay Devagan" has dressed up in a nice suit and also he has started wearing contact lenses instead of glasses or spectacles to impress her. She keeps on getting attached with him but still she is having affair with someone else. Ajay Devgan also supporting her at every moment and giving advice everytime while she is in trouble. But at the end, she get attached with someone else and Ajay Devgan remain alone and lonely and doesn't be able to win his love, as now he is divorced also.
And Similarly in the case of "Milind Kelkar" as "Omi Vaidya", he has fall in love with "Shraddha Dasas" as "Radio Jockey" whom she had met him at a club night in which a poet competition was held. "Omi Vaidya" has won that competition and she had herself awarded him the price of that competition. From their "Omi Vadiya" start getting romantic feeling for her and soon after the poet competition she called her at Radio ON AIR. Then he started spending time with each other. But on ther other hand, she started using him to fulfill her targets and to support her job. "Omi" keeps on giving her his full help but she keep on getting dicthed her without getting him aware of that. "Omi" also presented his felling for her by proposing him in a restraunt but she refused. And after that also he has given his Rs. 2 Lac to support her for a photo-shoot but all get wasted. For her, her first love is to become an actress instead of falling in a relationship with any person. She get dishearted after she has been refused to become an actress and for that "Omi" supported her a lot by motivating her for another film and she also understood him and give him a smooch or kiss. But than also, On the next day she got a film and she leaves "Omi" forever. "Omi Vaidya" also become lonely and felt dishearted at the end.
And with the case of "Abhay" as "Emraan Hashmi" he started getting linked with Tisca Chopra who is a step-mother. She started giving him luxurious life and money with love but later on "Emraan Hashmi" found his true love as Tisca Chopra's daughter as "Shruti Hassan". "Emraan Hashmi" becomes confuse between true love and luxurious life. He finally attached with the "Shruti Hassan" but the twists is that she also ditched her and refused his love. At the end, "Emraan Hashmi" also felt dishearted and helpless.
So, Now we can understand that what the whole movie is all about. At the end, they all remain alone, lonely, helpless and felt dishearten. The story of the movie is quite confusing and also mixed and not upto the mark. There is a feeling which comes that why did the Director Madhur Bhandarkar had made the end of the movie a "Sad Movie" or a "Sad Ending" instead of a "Happy Ending" movie. There are many negative points associated with the movie such as why the director let the Ajay Devgan divorced as he also has a daughter. No person as a general would like to move away from his family instead of getting into extra-marital affairs. The story of "Ajay Devgan" in the movie is very confusing becasue Firstly, he is not having good relationship with his wife and only because of their daughter they are attached with each other. But, later on they divorced. Secondly, while "Ajay Devgan" having an affair or an extra-marital affair with his new female employee "Shazahn Padamshee" as "June Pinto". But what was the result of that extra-marital affair. She get linked with someone else. Similarly in the case of next two actors they also get into a relationship but everytime they remain alone and lonely.
So instead of making a "sad movie" as well as "sad ending", Director Madhur Bhandarkar should have give it a "Happy Ending". I feel that Madhur Bhandarkar should need some rest after making Biggies like Corporate and Fashion. This movie is neither a best one nor a bad one for Madhur. So, as far as story is concerned he should have done a little homework on the movie but the movie shows nothing interesting and outstanding. Many movies of somewhat similar storeis like this movie has been made many times earlier. On the basis of comedy, this movie is fair and nice to watch but we need more than that. The message of the movie should be clear, but not confusing one. So the movie "Dil to Baccha Hai Ji" will be a nice attempt to watch only once or twice but not more than once.
As far as the acting is concerned, from all the cast Ajay Devgan and Omi Vaidya has done a fabulous job. But for Emraan is there not much to do. All the Lead actresses are okay and they also doesn't have to do much in the movie. Shruti Hassan and Shazahn Padamshee were the best one. Rituparna Sengupta and Tisca Chopra and others were wasted.
The music of the movie is a good one.
Overall, the Movie: "Dil to Baccha Hai Ji" is nice light romantic-comedy movie. It was a fun to watch. For the Director Madhur Bhandarkar this movie is a nice attempt but not upto the mark. On the Box Office, mostly, this movie will sustain till two to three weeks.
