Its almost 7 years since the movie released and I'm writing this revu after seeing the movie 4 times.May be anyone who reads this revu may feel the movie isn't worth the revu and throw away ''Somewhat useful'' or something like that.People feel the film is a draggy love story portrayed with poorly edited shots.Is that so?Its ingenuousness and nothing else.When the film released and was a big box office flop in India,Because we don't watch good films here.Maniratnam don't take good films please,we wont watch good films here.Put it up with an item number and a hell lot of family sentiments with unbelievable heroism,we love it.
''Dil Se'' is one of the best indian films comparable with any summer drama of hollywood.Stunning Cinematography,Flawless direction,awesome acting,gorgeous music,scintillating dialogues thats what forms a film that came from Maniratnam's Dil se....
The movie starts with a beautifully portrayed wind n rain shot in a railway station,when Sharukh mistakes Manisha for a guy and ask for matches.When he comes to know its a lady,he comes near ,says sorry and asks for matches and there Mani comes in.What a direction!!!The following song scenes of ''love at first sight'' which turns the hero fanatical is a trade mark of Mani.Every scene has santhosh sivan in it.Stunning Visuals.
The dialogues between Preethi Zinta(Intro Movie) and sharukh are the coolest.Realistic reactions make those scenes perfect.Everybody seems to live in the scenes.the narration of this complicated subject is nothing less than perfect.What makes a few to feel draggy is certainly made to feel the depth of Sharukh's obsessive love for Manisha which atlast makes him to ask her ''Come with me.I'll leave my family for you'' even when he realizes she is a terrorist.Just Beautiful.
Picturisation of the songs are really Mind Blowing and Rahman,he has made the film a legend.All the songs and especially the BGM sung by Sukhwinder blows your mind.The hang over of the film is really long may be a few weeks too...
This is a legendary movie that people of India has missed out to appreciate..though not all...None to be blamed except for the the crew for making such a good futuristic film.Hatsoff Mani.Forget the innocence and make another one like this for atleast a few who can think better.
