Looking at the trailers, what seemed to be a fun-filled movie turned out to be a boring rendition of the usual concept of one guy and many girls love story.
In a nutshell, the story is as follows- the story is set in a small town in Uttranchal. Shahid is supposed to marry Zoha (going around for 4 years), who ditches him for the city life. Shahid follows her to Mumbai to win her back and crashes into Ayesha, a hot headed girl, who turns out to live in the same building as him and whose mother is very friendly, unlike daughter. His search takes longer than expected, during which he works in Planet M, where he meets Anju.
Zoha refuses to give up her dreams, which causes Shahid to return back to his native town, with Anju in tow. Love blossoms in town and one fine day, she leaves him with an excuse. He comes back to the city in search of her, only to find out that Anju is already engaged and had been with him, only to make her fiancé jealous. He goes to his flat to pack up and leave forever to his hometown, when he goes to Ayesha?s apartment, to say bye and during the process finds out that Ayesha loves him.
Scared of falling in love again, he leaves but changes his mind, thus another love story. And when everything seems to be finally falling in place, his past lovers enter his life, head over heel in love with him. Confusion reigns and Ayesha leaves him. The story ends with Ayesha realizing that Shahid loves her and not the others and everything is back to normal-thanks to the planning of the two ex-girlfriends and Gulshan Grover (Shahid?s boss at planet M).
In short, watching the movie in a theater is a waste of time. For all those who don?t believe this?wait up. The movie will come on TV in a month or so.
The music of the movie is good, but not the memorable type, except for ?Gustak Dil?, the first song in the movie. The only plus point about this movie is that it has ?Shahid Kapoor? who is too cute. Must say, that his comic timing is great.
Gulshan Grover shows a new side of his and which suits him adorably- the comic playboy role is a nice change for the former bad man. About the newcomer Zoha Ali Khan, the newcomer in the industry, she better leave the acting to the remaining members in the family. She lacks the good looks and the skills an actress needs. If need be I will say that she is a ?one expression wonder? because that is all you can see in the movie, a single blank face expression.
Anju from ?mere yaar ki shaadi hai? does an average act and manages to stay in tune with Shahid. Ayesha with ?Tarzan ? the wonder car? fame is actually the only actress, who manages to stay up to Shahid?s energy level in the movie. At the end of the movie, all you can say is ?Yeh Dil Maange ? NO MORE?.
