Dil hai ke maanta nahin yaar!

What is the best kind of love?

This may be not be a valid question but this film is at least very refreshing and light at this question - love is beautiful. The complex equations present in standard love stories is absent. Life is simple. Love didnt have to struggle with girls father or the boy's family! Love is respected here and within the three hours, you forget the boring questions of life and get a fresh feeling. Life can be better and lovely!

And the best piece of music in Dil Hai ke Maanta Nahin? ... Not the new ones. But ''Hum hai raahi pyaar ke...'' where the couple is dancing to the tune of this song in the open. The raahis have submitted to love and love has taken over! Nothing to stop love. And the couple dances to the rhythm of Kishore Kumar. ''Hum hai raahi pyaar ke ...''. The background is beautiful and the ambience is right. No parties and glitter, simple basic love.

No No. I dont mean that there are no other good songs in this film. Please pardon me and dont get hurt! This film has some of the best music I heard including ''Tu pyaar hai kisi aur ka... '' and many others. There are many points film which touch your inside. Be it Aamir Khan losing love or be it Pooja Bhatt expressing her anger as well as frustation mixed with feelings of love.

The question is - if love won or lost. And good news is - it won and that too in a green, open natural and street smart way! The conversion of mutual hatred into mutual love is done gradually and happens beautifully over a small journey. The couple met on the way and gradually fall in love which eventually ended up in submission to the tune of a classic hindi song - ''Hum hain raahi pyaar ke...''. The film starts in the open and ends there. A good escape from the standard films with a lot of space to breathe.

A love story brought to life by Aamir Khaan and could not be better. The dignity and gravity of a young energetic man could not be presented better. The dignified portrayal of the character of Raghu, a simple egotistic good hearted young man, is simply superb. Pooja Bhatt is good in the role of the runaway daughter and Anupam Kher is again excellent. And who could utilize an old hindi classic song in a new film in such a beautiful way? - only Mahesh Bhatt.

And probably ''Hum Hai Raahi Pyar Ke...'' was for this film where two raahis (travellers) converge their lives - this song fits the best at the climax.
