After reading the review written by Bhavna for this movie, I couldn't do anything but  just join MS and write a counter review.

Before I bought tickets for the show, I tried to gather feedback from friends who had already contributed towards making this movie a hit. And I got mixed reviews. Most girls could not help abusing the director and most guys repeating slangs from the movie.

Anyways, I decided that Dil Dosti etc had to be the the best place where I could spend my 120 rupees, if at all I had to spend them on a movie.

The story, as already put by Bhavna, revolves around Talpade, who is a candidate for the University President, and Shah, who is more interested in sleeping with women.

This movie, I realized, is for select audience. If you cannot relate to some part of the movie, you will have nothing to appreciate. Prakash Jha, perhaps, was in no mood to do a soft porn. As usual, he tried to get close to the real scenario. He has aptly depicted the university hostel, the aspirations of a  middle class student who hails from Bihar and the frustration of a rich, ugly high society guy.

Yes, there is sex and there is slang and a lot of things with more than one meanings. But a language more realistic would have been inappropriate to be painted on the screen. Those actually spoken in colleges are sometimes worse!

Bhavna has taken the movie too seriously and then she writes-"is this how young boys think?" and "It is disheartening to see that growing guys actually think and act like this". Arey, why does somebody have to drag young boys into this. She noticed the ugly character of Shah in the movie but forgot to appreciate the attitude of Talpade as shown. This should balance, I guess. Moreover making assumptions of characters of "young boys" from what is shown in the movie, people forget to make assumptions of the characters of "young girls" from the shameful characters played by girls in the film.

It is easy to condemn, but much difficult to appreciate. The movie may not appeal to all categories of people. And let me repeat what I have said before- If you can relate to something in the movie, the film will not leave you with a bitter taste .
