'Friendship' is a theme which is yet to be explored in Bollywood.In that sense ,this is definitely one of the best movies I've seen in recent times.It ends up as a typical bollywood love story but is nevertheless rather unique and interesting.
Akash(Aamir),Sameer(Saif) and Siddharth(Akshaye) are three close friends living life to its fullest.They graduate from college and paint the town red.Yet,each has his own unique personality.Sameer is the sort of guy who falls in love every three months.Akash is the no-commitments sort of guy.Sid(Siddharth) has a more serious,mature character.It seems that nothing can come in the way of their friendship.But,there is trouble in paradise as Sid falls in love with Tara(Dimple Kapadia),a divorcee 15 years older to him.Minor altercations break out and the friends split to find their place in this world.As they lead their lives,each of them discover love and rediscover their friendship.Aamir is paired with Shalini(Preity Zinta) and Saif with Sonali Kulkarni.The love stories are typical bollywood stuff.
Hats off to Shankar,Ehsaan and Loy for their great music.All the songs are good with the title theme and 'tanhayee' stealing the show.The acting is excellent by everyone.Sonali Kulkarni and Preity Zinta both look beautiful but Dimple is so-so(suits her role).This film definitely deserves one thunderous applause.
