Story:

My brother is a great Dan Brown fan. I read my first dan Brown book Digital Fortress.

The book's plot, I dont know what to say, is just too crappy. A cryptographer, Susan Fletcher sets out to break a code, which if released would cripple the whole US intelligence. It goes like this. There is a secret agency, NSA, National security agency. It can tap phones, check each and every e-mail sent in the world. In short, it can read or listen to any kind of communication in the world. So terrorists around the globe communicate with an extra-ordinary way. It sends codes, only the other person can de-code it. But this NSA, has a super computer, TRANSLTR. It can de-code the encrypted codes withing minutes, rarely a couple of hours. But one day it encounters a code which it cant break even after 24 hours! The authorities are in for a shock, and they are more shocked when they learn who implanted it, who made it, and the main reason: why he made it. Susan Fletcher, betrayed on all sides, tries to decode it through the computer. She tries to protect the code from being released, but neverthless, ends up destroying the super computer. I wont reveal what happens in the end. But this book conveys one message: everyone has the right to have privacy in his/her life. Strange, I kno.

Some might find this book trash. As for me, I didn't like it so much. The best this book could do was make sure I didn't yawn.
