I've read some of the reviews of different soft drinks, and now I'll add my favorite. Diet Sprite is the only soda that I drink anymore.
Being diabetic, I have to be careful about what I do drink, and the amount of sugar that I take into my body from foods. Regular sodas are so full of caffeine, sugar and sodium that it's a wonder all of the world doesn't have major kidney problems. Those dark, syrupy sodas like Dr. Pepper, Coca Cola and Pepsi, when you try to convert them to diet drinks, they just get worse. It's like drinking bitter syrup or something.
But diet Sprite is different. There is no caffeine, no sugar, and only 25mg of sodium.
The lemony-lime taste is refreshing when ice cold, and isn't heavy tasting like so many sodas. There is a zing to it. There is a sort of popping action as the bubbles float over your tongue. It's a light taste, not heavy. It goes well with everything from popcorn to pizza.
If you haven't tried it, and you're looking for a refreshing alternative to some of the other diet drinks out there, I recommend it.
