Very Poor Service + Arrogance Beyond Imagination

My TVS bike was in bad shape after giving a reliable service for 10 years, so I decided to buy something that could be used by both me and my wife. After shortlisting Honda Activa, I went to nearest showroom - Dhruvdesh Honda - who are main Honda 2-wheeler dealers in North Bangalore.


I got a hint of their arrogance early on when I wanted to test ride the product. When I visited their main showroom at Mekhri Circle and asked receptionist to send someone to explain and give me a test ride. It was around 11 AM morning and showroom hardly had any customers. Despite that, the sales guys were joking and fooling around. When the receptionist repeatedly asked one of them to go to me, he casually walked upto me and said - "Yes boss, what do you want?". I was angry and I told him - "obviously, I want to purchase a bike since this showroom seems to be selling that." Even this sarcastic comment didn't tone him down.


Anyway, after that encounter, I went to Yelahanka branch of this dealer and booked an Activa. Initially, they told me that it would take minimum 2 months to get the vehicle. They also told me that they can arrange to sell my old bike. When their(fraud) old vehicle purchaser came, they sent me to deal directly with him. Later on, when I complained about poor price for my old bike, they started blaming me saying I shouldn't have been there and should have allowed them to deal directly!


Anyway, after around 10 days of booking, I received a call to come and pay the balance amount as the vehicle had come. After paying the full amount, they again were not committing on when they would actually deliver the vehicle. I scolded them several times, so after 4 days of paying money, they told me to collect the vehicle.


When I went to collect the vehicle, I realized that they had not even collected the number from RTO. When I questioned them about it, they said that it has been registered but number will come after few days. Again, many more days of follow-up. I also asked them to give me item-wise bill for accessories fitted but they never gave the bill. Moreover, while they initially gave computerized receipt for smaller payments, they started giving manual receipt for larger amounts paid later.


Anyway, after 20 days of taking the vehicle, one lady called me from Yelahanka office to remind me about first free service. I told that lady about a Dhruvdesh Honda service center near my office and told her that I would prefer to visit that center. She said there is no problem and I can go to any service center, not just Dhruvdesh Honda.


When I gave my vehicle for servicing at center near my office, those guys called me immediately(around 1 hour after giving vehicle to inform me that it is ready). I was surprised but asked what they did. They said as per their process, they just washed the vehicle and changed the engine oil.


Even though vehicle was serviced well within 1 month period allowed for first free service, the Yelahanka branch kept calling me and reminding me about service. I told them that vehicle was service at their another branch, they would say that all branches are not connected to each other and if I do service at one then another branch would not know! This was really shocking. Initially they told that I could go to any branch for service and now they are telling me that they had no information from other branches!


I don't know what is the scene at other Honda dealers but this dealer - Dhruvdesh - is definitely not up to the mark. Their poor service, badly behaved sales staff, makes me wonder if these idiots are simply reaping the benefit of Honda brand name. Whether they try or not, they know people will anyway come and buy.
