I have brought Honda Unicorn 6 months back and I am facing few problems with it already and I have listed it below:


Mileage what I am currently getting is 42 km even driving at 40-50 km/hr. Pick up is really bad, cannot drive at even 90+ on high way, they is lot of vibration in few parts. And to add fuel to fire Service center in Bangalore(DHRUVDESH HONDA and PLANET HONDA) are very pathetic, even after bring it to their notice they have done nothing for it; max what they do is wash your bike @ cost of Rs 500/service. And the amount of damage done by these guys is more than people meeting with accident on road. And these people attended at least 125 bike min/day, which they can’t handle; I feel if they are able to attend only 50 bike/day with care.


I will tell you what they did in all my three service till date:




  1. First service: I complaint of mileage was 56km/Lts and pick up was bad, they did not check it and my bike started given 52km/Lts. Scratch where found on my bike(left side of tank). They told me it’s common at service center with so many bikes around.




  2. Second service: I complaint the same but with some changes this time my bike self starter was gone for a toss in first services by the DHRUVDESH HONDA guys, and the center stand was not working and in reply DHRUVDESH HONDA guys did this: They replace the self starter under warranty on my name and they changed the spring of the side stand of my bike rather than center one and charge me Rs.25. The best thing my bike mileage was brought down to 47 km/Lts. They did not change engine oil this time but charge me for that.




  3. Third service: Again I informed them about mileage and pick up, this time I had to raise my voice to open this people ears to my complaints. This time it was very good mileage, now my bike is giving 42Km/Lts. And water wash of my bike was so good; I removed at least 200gm of mud in front of the manager at the service center on the day of delivery. I do understand, the Bangalore traffic is bad enough for two wheeler but still I can let go 10km/Lts, but not 20 km/Lts. I have send the same list of compliant to Honda head office, I hope they would have enjoyed reading this complaint, but will be very happy if they take any sort of action against this service centers, franchise / tie up in India, from getting a Bad name to their products. And I have requested them to send any of their technical team to have a check on my bike if they have a doubt on whatever I have told.
