The situation:
some ppl decided to have some fun by burning vehicles and breaking glasses bcos some had fooled around with the statue of Mr Ambedkar. Stuck in the home for the whole day, I got tot bored and decided to watch a movie..Surprise surprise..there was only dhoom 2 shows from 10 in the afternoon to 9 in the night in e square, the nearest multiplex. Finally had to give in to my roomies and went to watch the movie...
I guess all of u, by now must have heard about the story or the lack of it .So would just comment on the cast and the overal impression
Hrithik: without doubt the best performance in this movie. Pretty gud job of a criminal. The disguises were good esp as a statue and snow white's dwarf. And ofcourse he keeps on puttin on more and more muscle in every movie.
Aishwarya:Pathetic performance. There was a lot of speculations on whether or not she will wear a bikini in this movie.. The answer is that she doesnt. But she wears a lot of skimpy clothes revealing a lot of fat !!.Lot of cleavage shown in a scene where she and hrithik plays basket ball in the rain..hilarious! And behind the garish makeup she really looks old..To be brutally frank, she just looks ridiculous in the bronzed seductress look. And ofcourse the over usage of the word "like" was comic for the first few mins then turned to plain boring and irritating.
Bipasha: She plays a super cop whos supposedly an expert in guns. So to show skin, the director decided to introduce a twin of her. Typical role by bipasha, nothing special to comment on
Chopra: Fatter, more irritating, more of the stupid grins, ...except for a few wise cracks , not even worth commenting upon. Ofcourse in this movie he was not the most irritating, that honor went to Aishwarya Rai
Abhishek: Decent performance, ridiculous costumes. Not much different from the first movie.
Songs:Boring and stale
Action:Better than Dhoom 1 IMHO
Overall opinion: since I went to watch it with zero expectations, just paid 100 buks for the ticket and didnt have anything else to do, I kinda felt ok. typical masala movie. horrible story, watch it for the performance of hrithik...and ofcourse u dont have anyother choice..for two weeks atleast there wont be many shows of other movies!
