If ever there was an award for the most nonsensical movie made till date - believe me Dhoom 2 will win hands down - Internationally. Where do I start - the actions, the sequences, the story (now that's a big joke), the romance everything about this movie was nonsense. The only entertaining and thrilling moments were watching Hrithik defy gravity with his dance moves. In their intention to create a hollywoodian type action movie on the lines of fast & Furious and MI all that Adi & Gadhvi managed was to outdo Dumb Dumberer and Dumbest in being the dumbest movie of all time. Hell guys if you really had so much money to spare and burn then couldn't you at least have hired a decent script writer or story writer or plot writer or any writer. Creating improbable sequences one after the other does not a movie make. As for the actors - Hrithik looks yummy dances dreamily and all in all looks too good and decent to be the badass villain he is supposed to be. Abhishek - Dear God whatever happened to him. He looks sloppy as if the cat dragged him out of the bed, hardly looked like a kickass detective he is supposed to be and looked so lazy throughout the movie that it was a wonder he got anything done at all leave alone catch an internationally acclaimed (another joke) criminal. For a movie that was only about style and attitude Abhishek's just got out of the bed touselled look and not so lithe body stood out like a sore thumb. Aishwarya - Anorexeria was the first thought that crossed my mind when I saw her first. The usually beautiful Ash looked bad (guess that was also part of their mission impossible made possible sequences)and thin in a unhealthy way in many sequences. Her clothes were bad and tarty. these are not the clothes a wannabe thief wears - these are the clothes a wannabe stripper wears. Looks like Adi and Gadhvi had no idea how to portray a bad girl (they should have seen Priyanka's character in Don for some pointers). Ash's character kept oscillating between being tarty to vulnerable to grim to ...... (talk about multiple personalities). In some sequences like the one where she has to jump from the cliff not only does she looks good and dresses aptly but she also portrays steely determination and strength - this should have ideally been her character sketch throughout. Uday Chopra - A one note character whose biceps are enough to give anybody a nightmare. His jokes were enjoyable and entertaining but just couldn't get over the thought of how being the producer's brother helps & finally Bipasha Basu - The best of the lot but sadly the most underused. Abhishek should have taken pointers from her on how to portray the cop's role. She looked super efficient and yet glamourous and droolworthy as a cop. And as the ditzy twin sister she managed the impossible job of making a ditzy annoying and slutty character into a cute, adorable yet sexy one. So in final analysis just watch the promos of the movie - way better and more entertaining than the movie. But then again who am I to tell seeing that this movie is well on its way to being the biggest blockbuster of all time. Wonder who really is dumb one - the movie, the audience or me.
