Dhoom 2 released in theaters everywhere on November 24th. I had gone to the nearest theater i.e. Aurora theater in matunga to buy a ticket the day before i.e. on the 23rd and surprisingly got a ticket for myself as I had imagined it to be sold out till then. Next day, when I reached Aurora theater, it was like the whole country was there. I checked out the board outside and it said Housefull and i thanked my lucky stars that I got the ticket when I got it. Now onto the movie review,

The movie begins with Hrithik Roshan dancing to the title track of the movie and let me tell you one thing, he dances so damn coolly that I think Prabhu Deva might get overshadowed anytime of the day. Hrithik's movements are so fluid and thankfully the choreographer for the song is Shiamak Davar and he knows Hrithik's dancing capabilities and used that knowledge to the fullest. It was really hard to take your eyes of Hrithik and his dance.

The movie starts after the dance and the first scene itself is on a train and thats where Hrithik is introduced after jumping from a helicopter onto the roof of the train. The train has a royal jewel in it and there are guards to protect it. The jewel belongs to a British lady who is travelling on the train. The british lady gets into the room to see the jewel and the guards do nothing. Then suddenly, another person reaches there and she is the same English lady. The guards are dumbfounded and search here and there. Then the fake British lady removes her mask and it is revealed to be Hrithik who had disguised himself as her. What follows is an action sequence which is kinda hard to describe but it will blow your mind away thats for sure.

Next scene sees the introduction of Ali( Uday Chopra) on his bike on top of a boat surrounded with many bad guys and it seems as tho he is there to deliver something. Btw, when he made his entry, the entire theater burst out laughing. Ali drops his ID card and it shows that he is a cop and then the bad guys there feel cheated and decide to kill him and thats when Jay Dixit( Abhishek Bachan) makes his entry saving Ali by the killing the two goons around him. Then both he and Ali kill all the other goons on the nearby boats.

And then, Bipasha makes her entry, not on the boat, but in the shooting range area of the police headquarters. Bipasha is the one who has studied the bad guy's(Hrithik) work and she is assigned to the case along with another officer who turns to be Abhishek and they both are old school mates. Ali tries his best to woo her but fails miserably.

Hrithik is Aryan- the international thief. He steals the riches and then leaves an A at the crime scene to solidify the fact that he has been there. Aishwarya plays Sunehri who is Hrithik's love interest but what hrithik doesn't know is that she is a mole planted by Abhishek. Anywho, she makes her entry about 50 minutes into the movie. Ash's dialogue delivery is kinda weak and she sounds a little annoying.

The songs are ok, not that great like the first movie but they are ok. Especially the title track of the movie deserves a special mention. The cinematography is well done and Brazil has never looked so beautiful.

Well, I can't tell the whole story can i, lol. There is a kissing scene between Hrithik and Ash but it seems thanda cos you could see that they were both uncomfortable in that scene, it lacked passion. Rimmi Sen is also in the movie and is visible for about 5 scenes and yes, she is pregnant.

Abhishek Bacchan seems to have toned down his style from the last movie and it seems as tho he is trying to be like his dad. Uday Chopra, well, he is ok and provides the laughs in the movie but its all forced tho. Bipasha Basu has just a few scenes, she plays Shonali Bose in Mumbai and in the second half of the movie, she plays Monali and yes, they are twins and they are not visible at the same time.

The scene stealer of the movie is definitely Hrithik Roshan. He dances, does the stunts with such conviction and ease that you become certain that this film belongs to him.

Go see Dhoom 2. I am sure you won't be disappointed at all.
