Bikes, Babes and Bazooka!!

Gadgets, Guys and Guns!!

2nd is bigger, 2nd is almost better, 2nd is lengthier but 2nd is worth the spend.

Dhoom 2 takes you on a roller coaster ride

Dhoom 2 spins you over in the super tide

So feel all that you can,

The magic has began,

Say now, Say now....

Dhooom machaale....Dhooooom machaaale

Sequels is about moving a told story to eventuality or may be further. Series is one to restart the franchise and surely Dhoom series has restarted with superiority, class, action and overall generic entertainment. It starts off and then takes off and then settles, dribbles and then finishes as a satisying film for me.

Yashraj have a winner on their hands be it who cuts it from where, this fish has it for everyone. Its a popcorn colddrink action entertainer which has the right mix of stars, sizzle and action of course to carry it home, flipsides might be the sluggishness at times. Hmmm, that later.

For the story or the plot..I think its CHOR and POLICE burger with a dash of romance and thrill plus add to that few goofy things to make us smile. For me there's nothing to reveal as a plot, Go watch it to unplot it further.

Analyzing an action entertainer gets me zeroing on few focal points about the movie. Such movies have to zippy, action has to be eye sticky and relentless, comedy has to be timed, songs should be whistle worthy with glamor and style and probably story needs to be taut.

Coming on D2, I guess its zippy till the first half as Hrithik (Forget Krissh, see him here) unfolds the action and Abhi has Jai Dixit and Uday as Ali begin the chase again joined with Bips. I think the magic is in the style and the action that holds the viewer plus thanks to Uday Chopra, he deserves plaudits to come big as a host to comic party. Good job done. It gets better as Aish joins in and it keeps you on a platter by the first half in all the departments I mentioned for an action entertainer.

From a story point of view its simple Chor Police with a grandeur budget. Screenplay rocks in first half and faulters in the 2nd half. So for an action entertainer the demerits actually cripple in the 2nd half but it doesnt take much zeal away coz u know there has to be a action paced climax.

I was wondering why wasn't D2 promoted as Hrithik v/s Abhi show as to them its there on screen confrontations (just 2 of them) that are THE movie for me. Winner is .....both of them. The fights, the dialogues and performance in those 2 scenes is what takes the cake.

Though the love story angle between A and Sunehri is a bit long and needs to be chopped to fasten the pace of the 2nd half else its alright coz its 2 good stars loving each other. Jai's character has been chopped off considerably and thats where I think writing has played down on commercial angle.

The first sequence of the crown theft, the chase on the skates plus the finale is brilliant. Dwarak Warrier's sound engineering with background music of Salim Suleiman is great. Music is mixed bag but looks zippy onscreen with Dhoom again thanks to Hrithik's dancing antics and Crazy Kiya Re thanks to Aish's presence standing out.

Coming down to performances, such a genre doesnt need histroinics barring a scene or 2 hence we can be little comfy judging all on performances.

Abhi has Jai is sequel to part 1 and does what he does best being a cool inspector who knows his job. His performance honestly has nothing new but good.

Bips is in Bikini and looking hot.

Aish has toned down and has bit of Umrao Jaan crying stint in the movie and thats about it apart from looking too hot to handle..aaha.

Uday as Ali....No mummy.but mama mia for the comic timing and laughter length of his role. He sure has comic sense in him. Priyans, Anees and David or Sangeeth...look at this lad.

Hrithik as A...spellbound. I have never seen such a perfect portrayal and super fit match for the kind of action this film demanded and boy he not only looks good but acts on song as a performer. Watch out for finale and his scene with Aish shooting out for love. I think Dhoom 2 belongs to him

Technically its a top notch product in cinematography, action but it isnt a sleek product in terms of editing and screenplay. Sanjay Gadhvi for me had a apt climax for Dhoom1 but in Dhoom 2 i guess it was 19 to 20 of D1.

For me it was party for all the crowd in the movie as Hrithik towers in it. I expected entertainment, thrill, style and action.Dhoom 2 is for me. For emotions Baabul comes Dec 1.

Cticize's Quote: "The chor police burger with extra ooomph, action, style..I'm lovin it"

PS:: I am watching it again on Sunday :D.
