Hi friends I am here to share my experience studying in Dharmsinh desai University. Right now I am a student of 2nd year pursuing IT engineering at Dharmsinh desai university( short form as DDU) .
Dharmsinh desai university was founded in 1968 by dharmsinh desai himself to provide higher technical education to the people.
Dharamsinh Desai University has a wide campus of approx 9 to 10 acres. The campus comprises of a library, a canteen , a workshop building, an administration office , mechanical engineering laboratory building ( i.e narayan bhavan) , a combination of two or three buildings having 45 classrooms and approximate 10 to 15 labs for computer engineering and Information Technology Engineering students. The campus also has lush green lawns in between these buildings.
This university provides technical guidance on courses like B tech BBA MBA BCA MCA Dental Science and Commerce.Soon they are also going to start MBBS( the building construction is going on) .
The library of the university provides all the types of books that are needed to students and also other magazines which are helpful to the students for further studies in future. The library of the university is a two storey building which have a capacity of serving silence to almost 50 students at a time for studying during exams.
The classrooms of the university is very well maintained and ventilated. The canteen of the university have capacity of almost 100 people with very well disciplined workers constantly working to maintain the canteen. Almost all kinds of foods are available in the canteen at a very reasonable rates, so students never complain about the Canteen.
The faculties of the engineering department are very well dedicated and they take utmost care of the students having problems in various topics in various subjects. All the faculties are very supportive and they also provide service after regular working hours( i.e they give number to the students to contact them whenever needed) . Some of the faculties are pass outs from reknowned IITs, while some passout from the same college.
The University stands at 3rd rank in terms of placements and quality of technical education in gujarat state.Regarding placements, Infosys, wipro, mahindra tech, ishis, reliance, igate pani, deepak nitrate are visiting the campud every year and hiring outstanding number of students( almost 80% students are selected from IT, CE, EC, IC) .
In may 2016 amazon also had a visit to the campus and selected almost 15 students.
The Tech fest of the university known as felicific is also very good.
The examination schedule of the university is quite up for the students seeking freeness in collegelife( 3 months 3 internal examination and one final external examination) sometimes the students have quite fed up with the examination system
