Dhanraj pillai
As his name suggest – man who will get gold (Dhan) and rule (Raj) - Hockey.
Would have come true In Sydney Olympics – Had Indian coach Bhaskar and Mr. Gill Had not broken winning combination of senior players 1998 Asian games. Dhanraj pillai played his heart out in all the matches But Mukesh Kumar failed to live up to his expectations. Indian coach should have realized Mukesh was running out of form after first two matches and should have replaced him in later matches.
Dhanraj is totally team player, does good feed to players, excellent in saving penalty corners. He can still do 100 meters in 13 seconds.
He is fittest of all the young hockey players we have.
Goal by Poland in last 90 second, which stopped us from progressing into Semifinal, was a gift of god to Poland, goal out of nothing.
How long we can go without medal. Not much I am sure Dhanraj and party will strike soon ,very soon. Another player in team like Dhanraj would have assured Gold for us in last Olympics.
I wish Dhanraj and party best of luck in coming hockey matches in test series with Pakistan.
