Dhanraj : The Forgotten hero. Review on Dhanraj Pillai

I've seen Dhanraj Pillay the player many a times;using his Hockey stick as a wizard spellbounding the opponents and audiences likewise but it was when I watched him on Harsha Online that I came to know about the human inside him. Just like Kapil he had tears in his eyes not because of pain or hurt but because of the immense passion he had for the game which though we all call our national game yet we ourselves never gave it that status. Many say Dhanraj is too arrogant,he is but not for wrong reasons.The team won the Asiads and instead of rewards what they got was a few players being taken away from the team and replacement of a successful coach.Who wont be furious at that.Has our Cricket team recieved such treatment? They never did,even when they brought so much disgrace to the country thanx to the Fixing episode,even when they never played to their potential and were busy doing advertisements rather then winning the matches.So if you can still love your Cricketers, if you still dont mind them signing heavy contracts and making money;why do you raise finger on Dhanraj playin in holland league and making money.Not only Dhanraj there are several other victimised by the IHF; Ballal and Mukesh to name a few and its not just IHF's fault its our fault also that we never gave players like Dhanraj the respect and love that was due to them.
