Hello friends, why does it pain when someone you love plays with your emotions and feelings?? Even the best of scientists or doctors will not be able to answer this question as the question itself is very abstract!! And this is what director Dharmesh Darshan tried to answer through his movie “dhadkan”.

Story in nutshell: -
The whole movie revolves around three characters, Anjali (shilpa shetty), Dev (suneel shetty) and Ram (akshay kumar).
Anjali and Dev are in love but Dev is very poor (as in every third Indian love story). And when Dev comes to meet Anjali’s father, he’s humiliate. Dev takes a wow, then and there to earn enough money to stand her father, the proud one indeed. He leaves the scene and Anjali is married to Ram (and audience would find it awfully terrible to see that the day when she is getting married, Dev returns with his arms full of wealth and all goes for the waste).
Now since Anjali is married to Ram, she takes him as her pati-parmeshwar and tries to forget Dev. At the same time Dev wows again to destroy Ram and takes over his business. Now Ram is on roads without any money L. Then there is dramatic turn and the story ends with………what?? Watch and enjoy maadi!
However there is one sub-plot also wherein its shown that Ram is the step-son and his mother always try to take undue advantage of this fact and once even her son and daughter tries to ridicule and put blames of bad character on Anjali. But everything gets better at the end but how is the thing to be watched and enjoyed so don’t chew your brains now and watch out this love story with great performance and music.

She played the character of Anjali wherein she was a lover, a (devoted) wife and the amalgamation of weak and strong. She was ready to fight with the injustice her mother-in-law was posing on her husband. But at the same time she was unable to fight for her love when her father decided to marry her off with an stranger.
To conclude, she gave stunning performance and all of a sudden was noticed for something unscandalous. Though there had been number of rumours as she said “no” to the film as her ex-boyfriend was there, nothing worked and fans saw their actor best to her ability.
My wish: -
I can’t think of any other actor in this role as Shilpa did complete justice to her role and for once she was out of her “glamour clamor”. Felt nice to see other part of this talented actress. But one thing that I would like to bring to the notice of reviewers is, may be if the role would have had a little less rona-dhona then it would have been better.
If I have to think of any other actor in this role then it would be just sri deviJ, not because I like her but she is good and cute at the same time sexy. Anyhow, even madhuri would have done complete justice to this role.

As per her acting and association with the character I would like to give her no less than 6 points.(6/10)

People saw this actor in completely new avatar. Nobody had expected so many shades in his character but he really came out as the winner in the whole crew. Though everybody was benefited by the success of this movie but the it turned as the gold reap for this actor.
The shades that I had been talking about are:-
· as a lover madly in love in the first half
· then a young and rich feelingless demon
· and again once again a humane
People may think that what’s there to praise this actor so much if he played these roles to the best of his abilities, then for them I would like to tell that such roles are the test to one actors ability.
Though this actor had given hits in the past also but never, as well known in hindi movies the credit is given to big fishes, once he was given the complete credit for his movie. Anyhow, lets forget the past and review this movie.
Big rumour: -
When Suneel signed the movie with Ajay, there had been speculations that director will magnify latter’s character as Ajay has been all time favourite of Dharmesh and under such circumstances if any actor signs this movie with the shade of black in his character, he should be praised whole-heartedly.
Anyway this actor didn’t let his fans down by giving his best, though his voice is the biggest hindrance, anyhow he managed to play his part with complete dedication.
My wish: -
Though Suneel tried his level best but there was something that was lacking in his character. May be director must have taken some more time to decide upon the actor. I feel king khanJ would have been a better choice. Since he’s well known for his negative roles(just a joke). But let us not undermine this actor (suneel).
How much did he score?
Keeping all the efforts that actor must have taken I feel, he deserves an applause J. Since he tried to break away from the stereotype of any actor, he deserves no less than 6.5 points. (6.5/10)
· Akshay Kumar
Ha ha, this is the actor with lot of caliber. Well known as the play-boy of bollywood, Akshay did a good job in the movie. A matured character that, indeed, needed lot of hard work. Anyway, he did a good job is what I would like to say.
As Ram though he don’t fit into the character, but amazingly he did so well. Ram is entirely opposite of his personality and he played his part wonderfully. Since he’s the hero in darshan’s every movie, I wonder how he manages to maintain a variation.J
My wish: -
Though actor did his part well, I guess Ajay Devgan would have been a equally good choice. But after watching the movie no other character comes to your mind and I feel proud to say that only akki fits into the character.
How much did he score: -
Keeping his acting prowess in mind, I feel it was a good choice. He deserves 5 points. (5/10)
· Mahima Chaudhary:
She had hardly much to do in the movie, a side actress I would rather call her. With so much of talent why does she need to play such roles that’s something I have not been able to understand. Nothing much to say, I guess my comment sums up everything.
· Music:
Music by Nadeem-Shravan is simply brilliant and deserves applause.J it touches the chord of your heart, you are left mesmerized and you are transported to nether world. I feel this movie wouldn’t have been a success if there wouldn’t have been this sweet flowing music at the background.
All the singers (alka yagnik, kumar sanu, sonu nigam, udit narayan and nusrat fateh ali khan), did their jobs well.
Tum dil ki dhadkan mein rahte ho… is an extremely touching song that leavse you nostalgic and haunted. At the same time na na karte pyar mein…is another wonderful composition. Dulhe ke sehra..by nusrat sahab is extremely good. What else to say, music is the heart and sould of this movie sums up everything.
How much did music score?
Music is good so I will give music 7 points. (7/10)
· Direction
This movie doesn’t fall into the category of director’s movie hence not much credit to director.
Movie seems to be boring in the middle, hence director needs to work on his way of visualising. Taut-direction is what the audience want today.
How much he deserves?
I would give him 5 points (little liberal no). 5/10
