In the month of October 2015 we had to travel towards GARHWAL REGION and we were about to visit GANGOTRI temple and YEMUNOTRI temple(Those temple are situated in UTTARKASHI district of UTTARAKHAND).
We left our city in the early morning on a Sunday because as per our plan we had to drive around 250 kms. We reached in SRINAGAR(UTTARAHAND), our day destination, by dusk and we booked a room in TRH(Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam).
Next morning was early too and continuation our travel towards Devprayag where we were about to see the CONFLUENCE of the BHAGIRATHI and the ALAKNANDA Rivers.
IT IS FROM THIS CONFLUENCE THAT THE RIVER IS OFFICIALLY THE HOLLY GANGES RIVER, AS IT IS KNOWN VERY WELL WORLD WIDE.
DEVPRAYAG IS LOCATED ON THE WAY TO BADARINATH HIGHWAY, IT IS JUST 30KM FROM SRINAGAR AND 95KM FROM HARIDWAR.
THERE ARE LOT OF HOTELS FOR STAY THERE.
