Devdas, An epic retold, Full of colors, and flashy buildings. This is how Sanjay Leela Bhansali visualised 'Devdas' and went on to create a mega motion picture in the history on Indian Cinema. What it all required was Crores of rupees and Unparallel art of stars like, Shahruks, Jackiee shroff and Mrs. Nene. But the scene of real 'Devdas' was far from the picture. What it actually required was the boldness of emotions and not Crores, The very plot of the whole story of remake produced a mingling effect of artificiality. It all looked so but-so-abvious, What was required from devdas was not there, It was the story about the love of two people, which could not bond because of rules and harshness of the world, which infact is the real life story of many among us.
'Devdas' is a subject of great respect, cause it depicts the real life's struggle to achive something, and the loose it again, to start all over again. That's what life is about. So showing a man soaked into alchoal showed nothing but his hollowness, cause love doesn't require physical bond, all it requires is a bond of hearts. So running away from responsibilty is not the kind of 'Devdas' and then having a friend with perfect sense of liqour, does no good deal either. Also the treatment of Mrs. Nene was injustified. There was absolutely no need of telling her again and again that she can not achieve 'Devdas', If you are telling a love story, The very word of descrimination ends, Cause loves knows no boundary. But here it was descriminated. Now again I sense some artificiality.
If the love was true, The story would have ended long ago. But as it's a story it can not be drawn upon real facts, because a story is a reflection of what people don't have, It urges them to experince it. So in the end, all one can say about this remake is a 'Sense of artificiality'.
