Desperate Housewives is a series dedicated to the problems faced by five different women and the ways in which they react to them.
This series studies these 5 women's natures in detail. Each of them is different in their ways but one thing is a common driving force among them ... it is desparation.
Susanis a single mother raising a teenage daughter. She often gets soo very mixed up that her duaghter comes to her rescue and tells her what to do. Susan is played by Teri Hatcher ... and MANNN she is HOTTTTTTT !!
Lynette has to cope up with the stress of 4 children and practically gave up whatever she liked for raising them....It is played by Felicity Huffman . The scene of her going into the pool to catch her kids who were not coming out of it is pretty famous.
Bree Van De Kamp played by Marcia Cross is so intend on being Ms perfect that even her husband has become fed up of everything pertaining to her like the way her hair did not move anymore. He feels that he has lost the girl he fell in love with.
Gabrielle Solis played by the infamous Eva Longoria is one of my other favourite characters in it. She has been shown of an extremely extravagant nature and finds it a little difficult to handle her money vs spending ratio. Did I also mention she has a lover and she also has a husband... some combo ..huh !!
They all have problems ... different for every one .... but they come up with ideas of their own to drag themselves out of the situations ... providing us with entertainment and themselves high high popularity and ratings.
I would say Desperate Housewives is all about responce to stimuli. It shows us what kinds of different situations these ladies end up with due to their own faults / actions and how they react to it ...either in a stupid way ...or in a sly way ...or whatever way it suits their own individuality.
Well as Laura Bush admits ...there is a desperate housewife in each of the housewifes... sounds scary to many indians but true...!!
well if it is good enough for Laura bush ...its good enough for everyone I guess :-D
