Know ur consumer rights against misleading ads. Review on Department of Consumer Affairs

Today I was reading a news that in Singapore one lady was very much motivated by a face cream which are removing wrinkles from face. She bought it but after so long she could not succeed.

Again only yesterday I read a review of a lady who visited a popular Dermatologist's Health Clinic where she passed her 10 months period but to no avail.

Many TV Ads are so misleading that they show a Sanwli Girl getting Gorapan in just 7 days.She buys it and uses it for a long period but fails to get a Gori facial skin.

This has become a general practice that people in general are cheated on purchasing products on the recommendation of TV commercial ads. It is a well known fact that wrinkles are a normal ageing feature which comes and unless u undergo cosmetic surgery, you can't get it done. Some Desi prescriptions like rubbing malai haldi mix on face to remove germs and blackish material your face gets from sun burn or climate. It is rightly said that if a person is having conspitation would not succeed in getting glow on his/her face. So good health is shown thru your face,skin and hairs.

Now what to do with these misleading advertisements on TV ?

Our Consumer Protection Laws always helps us. First of all before buying any product particularly relating to your skin or hair, should consult your physician and if your skin is sensitive or allergic,please do not use.

Secondly if you are going to buy any product, please ask him to give you the cash memo or you are buying thru credit card, cash memo is still necessary. In case if the product is not upto the specifications given or false assurances harms you or the product itself fails to give marketed assurances,you may lodge complain to the company concerned attaching certified photocopy of the bill/cashmemo.

This is also very necessary when the medical products, medicines are either of no use to treat your disease or harms your body. In foreign countries, people file huge claims and get the compensations.We indians have so bad habbits of not asking for Cash Memo/Bill when we buy medicine even at MRP.Many peope buy Gold and Diamond jewellery without Cash memo and one day they find that gold was actually Peetal.

We should have habbits of our consumer rights given under Consumer Protection Act. You see Shah Rukh Khan or Aamir Khan are getting full monetary value for the ads of Coke or Pepsi, but these are we who are drinking pesticides and getting sick.No such Actor or Actress comes forward for us.

So my message is to buyers : Be careful and use your consumer rights in every field.
