I had bought a Dell XPS15 l502X in may 2012. The system has been slow right from the day one. I have been hunting for service but they WILL NOT SERVICE the laptop. They do not know hat is worng with the system.


I had requested service in the first month itself and they had not registered by service tag no.(H1QDTS1) for more than 2 months. 2 services were not done for that reason. My issue is that after login the system takes it own time to go to desk top and further more to work on the applications and software. Log off takes further lot of time.


In the first call one agent of theirs had asked details of my purchase and I had provided the same to him. But he did not do any thing. Mail id of the agent is md_i_alam@dell.com.


Second call was also taken by the same Agent but not only he did not acknowledge the earlier conversation and also lied that he is not the same Agent and also lied on to his mail id. He was fool to give his Supervisor's mail id and hence I came to know about this. Mail id of supervisor is mufeez_bano@dell.com


3rd call was on 4th Aug 2012 - 861550097. As per the female agent's diagnosis I need to get the OS and software to be  reloaded. For that she wanted my entire C drive- 72 GB including 15-10GB of OS and other standard softwares to be copied to and an external HD !!! - no reply on why I need to copy only my docs - photos, video, docs, music !!! and why I cannot copy that to D drive!!!. It has to copied to external HD and I need to call back after that. Never seen any one more stupid than this!!! - My rabbit has three horns!!!


4th call was answered by Pradyut : pradyut_das@dell.com, complaint no. is 862607243. I had narrated what the insolnet agent had  told me to him. As per him that was not required and he came on line and did something and the system did work for two days at super speed. Third day it was back on the usual level. And this was done with out any reloading of OS and software as the earlier agent told. I had written back to him on the same.


I did get some calls from their end which I could not pick. I had received a call on the Onam day and I told the agent that he has to call me back next day as it was a festival day for me. He was such insensitive that even after telling him the same 3 times he was continuing on the call and I had to disconnect the call.


I received a call on 6th Sept from one Afroz and when I was narrating him the incidents eh disconnected the call. he did try calling me back.


Another call came on 7th Sept from one Kamal and I had narrated him the issue not getting resolved, he promised a call back on 8th by 8.00pm. The call never came!!!


Today, On 9th I decided to take this up on for ""deficiency of service"" and spoke to one Sandeep and his supervisor Amar.  Call no. 863638439. They first refused to give details of the complaints I had raised.


1) They have not recorded any conversation before the registration of the service tag.


2) No explanation on why they took 2 months time to register a service tag which as per them is a 10 days TAT.


3) Why some one is asking for taking back up of C drive on external HD when there is sufficient space available in D drive?


4) Why the back up needs to be taken for OS and other software?


5) Why customer cannot get details of the complaints raised by him and its present status online?


6) Why timelines promised are not met?


7) Why their sites works only on IE and not on others like chrome and firefox?


Friends, I am fed up of the service levels of DELL which are just lies and nothing much. Shows off their inept knowledge and skill and useless customer.


Please take care while buying premium products like xps or above from dell; they do not know what is wrong with the system and instead of servicing it they will try to put the blame back on to you.
