The Dell has tried to offer a good balance between weight and technology in the product. Named Latitude D610, notebook has decent looks with very luggable 5.4-pound frame. Offering a wide open area to rest pit of your palm, you may require god amount of hand movement to use mouse-pad and keys simultaenously.
The screen quality is good over its previous version, D600. I also like that it comes with four USB ports (up from two in the previous model) and a host of other related features. Most irritating feature is that beside having an indicator for bluetooth, the feature may be missing. So, please verify the configuration before you make purchase. Speaker qual is real good, provision for jerk movements save your hard disk from any damages. The configugration is good enough for executives depending heavily on office applications but so-so for media lovers. Now the things I hate in it... CD/DVD slot is not properply sized.
When plugged in, the reader remain bit out of its designated area. Same is case with data card slot. Though it has infra-red and bluetooth indicators, the feature is optional which can mislead while you think its a value for money. Battery backup is fine but drains in a big mouth if you are running A/V file. Even after long R&D, no option to adjust screen contrast could be located. Well, rightly said perfection is relative not absolute. The product can be your next choice if you strive for executive looks, elegant style, weight, and last but not least performance while working.
