Dell laptops are very familiar to everyone and too popular for its wide class specifications. But these times it also manufactures pocket-friendly laptops as it comes in very low budgets in comparison to others. It can be suitable for this generation students. Del inspiron 3551 is that kind of notebooks which available only at 18000rs in Indian price with vast features. Here I supply my experiences on it for that it can provide you some knowledge about that.
I had bought it last year just about 20000rs from our local available showroom. I know it was quite higher than specified price but salesman offered a headphone as external accessories completely free with it. But that was not reason to buy that. It had well enlarged display having 380×260×21 dimensions that means 15.6 screen size. Along with it, it had Pentium 4th gen quad core processor with 4GB RAM.It had DOS operating system and having standard weight about 2kg. It had also 500GB harddisk capacity and two audio speakers. Most important that it had 4cell lithium batterybackup guaranteed that it could back up to 4hours. Its customer support was also very good. So after overall analysis I decided to buy it.
I have been using this laptop for one year and never faced any severe issue with it. Its performance is quite well and not any problems regarding hangs and or responses are found. No overheating also found when it is continuously used for 4 to 5hours. But its battery performance is quite poor for that I had always connect with the electricity. Pointer speed also quite good. It can be used with any broadband connection as internet speed is superb with it but sometimes it fail to connect with data. It also compatible to all type of printers and thus we can use it for regular and study purposes. I had used all type of application like Photoshop etc and played games like igi, counter strike and all those were gone nicely without any problems. Overall it is nice gadget at such valuable price.
Pros and cons-
( 1) all type connections like USB connection, internet connection are very well with it
( 2) audio output through speakers is very good
( 3) no overheating found even after using it continuously
( 4) available in affordable price range
( 5) but it has very poor battery performance
( 6) customer support is quite sensitive
Before it I was using HP laptop but due to its least price and suitability for daily rough use purposes I prefer it. Its customer support is also very good in comparison with others.
Finally I recommend everyone to purchase this valuable laptop. It must be accompanied by every students as it has very low costs and can be used for daily purposes. Have a nice day.
