I have been using Dell Inspiron 1525 model from 6 years and got the battery change 3 times.
Actually laptop is fine and no issues with the performance but the quality of battery is very poor. I purchased the laptop with 9 cell battery with the thought that I would get good backup but just after 1 month of my warranty, that battery got dead. I searched on internet and found one reason that batteries killed if we keep our laptop in charging but I am using lenovo laptop as well and I keep laptop in charging and battery health is still gr8 with 2+ hrs backup(reduced from 5 hrs to 2+ hrs in 3.5 years).
So Dell should improve the batteries quality.
