As of August, 2015, I stand corrected on my unfortunate decision to buy a Dell Inspiron.
First of all, the charger connector-port gave away just within seven months of the purchase. Now, to top their cheap parts, their service is even more pathetic.
When I called Dell India, the representatives said that my laptop doesn't come under accidental warranty as I've myself caused the wear and tear:-( Too bad, I didn't buy a Toshiba or Asus, despite my best intuition. Never go for a Dell, their parts and customer service are worst on the planet.
I purchased this laptop day before yesterday and I would like to write a review about it. Here is what I feel after the initial usage:
Pros:
This is a nice laptop, nice working and has a good look.It works very smoothly.I have bought this product a day ago and I mam feeling now that I have bought something useful because 2 years ago I bought a laptop which wasn't of any use.This laptop has a good processor and can run any application.Its RAM and graphics card makes You able to run any heavy game like GTA 5.So this laptop is a perfect choice for everyone.thanks
Good performance(intel core-i3 rocks!)
Chicklet keyboard is good(Fingers seemed to move like butter)
Good battery backup(lasts around 4-5 hrs on average) Cons:
Touchpad surface is a bit uneven on the right side.
Touchpad scrolling on the right-edge doesn't work(However, the two-finger scrolling across the pad works)
The two usb slots on the left side are too near to each other, thus making it almost impossible to use them simultaneously in most cases.
The function key has reversed its role in case of brightness(F11 & F12) keys, meaning that brightness keeps adjusting when you press F11/F12 and the actual keys are pressed only when you hold the Function button - this could be a windows/software issue rather than a hardware one.
The right-click on the touch-pad makes a crisp loud noise that might not make some people happy.
There is a slight yellowish tinge on the lower-right side of the display.(Hopefully, this would go away soon)
