I bought an inspiron and cost wise its very cheap compare to other super brands. but the main problem in dell is after 1 year, the keyboard keys get stuck and most of the time
We have to take the laptop to service centers. In cochin many of my friends get laptops from their friends abroad. mostly duabi duty free. Toshiba anytime will be my first choice and recommendation.
Second if you have more budget sony. Its more stylish and trendy but very very expensive one. One more problem I heard with dell is, during warranty period, if some parts got damaged dell wont replace it with new hardware but repair the old one and replace them it seems.
I am not sure whether its true, but in brands like ibm they always replace with new one. One more thing with dell online and local dell reseller is, there is slight price difference. The local reseller in kerala gives some discount compare to dell online. Anyway I dont have any major complaints about dell but if I have a budget I would always go for toshiba.
