Well this is for the Traffic Police here in Delhi, where the CHALLAN, or Fine on several acts of motor driving have been shot up to really high.To just give you all an estimate every Fine is+500 now.but I couln't get the reason behind it.why has it been shot up?To make traffic service better or to just fill its Pocket with heavy loads of hard earned money?
NO.no.am not writing here coz of any FIne, i am just trying to Think over this issue.
Lets ask ourselves few question.is 100 rs a big amount to be paid as Fine?Wont it hurt anybodies pocket while paying it?this 100 bucks could have been used somewhere else for leisure for some youngsters or a crucial part of income of a cmmon man.IT JUST HURTS! everyone.irrespective of bank balance or social status or standard of living.
Rather than shoooooooooting Fines up govt. could have asked Traffic police to be more strict.and just Fine people rather than filling their pockets.yes it happens all over India .but some strict officers are there which won't listen to your stories and just fine you on the spot.i appreciate these gentlemen.but currption over-rides it long way.recently while travveling to Chandigarh for a marriage in my car wid my family I was stopped by a Police check post around its border and was asked for papers.i showed them.they asked for Pollution.i showed them.Insurance Shown.seat belt.i was wearing it.now they didn't Find anything else to put their hands on pocket .they just said you are being FIned for OVER-SPEEDING.it clearly showed how effective our force is round the country for filling their own pockets.
Now coming back to the national capital+500 is gonna hurt anyone.though the other rule being to punch licenses on being chalaan.i really appreciate it.a big shot wont mind paying even 500 or 5000 bucks but if caught 5th time his license would be cancelled and has to go under the whole process of getting a Driving License .which is not at all less than any Punishment.rather big one.coz its gonna hurt the TIME FACTOR.no matter who so ever it is has only 24 hrs in a day.
I personally feel to get the Traffic Services here in Delhi on road these TULLAHAS.MAAMUSS.should fine more even 100 bucks hurts.n implement the punching of license with that amount only.though rising amount would just make some people to stop at the red lights but would affect many more when being caught.Though they are wrong here but still.Govt. should think about them.if it goes this way there would be rquest for QUOTAS.on paying challans.
The most effective factor is.Govt. has changed its Policy but what bout change in Pocket filling by Traffic Police.earlier if a fine of rs.100 was waved of for max. rs 50 on bribing the official.now on rs 500.you can just think about This POCKET FILLING POLICY.
