*what happens when 2 genius(rakesh onprakash mehra, ar, rehman).oops sorry 3 genius(prasoon joshi)meet, yes then comes delhi 6 .
its like feeling that is it really happening have bollywood finally comes of its age since finally lot really class product is coming trough atleast in the music department, i hope it's true.
so the first song "aarti(tumre bhavan main) is perfect start for the album nice to hear such a song after ek tu hi bharsoa(pukar), o palanhare(lagaan) nice to hear voice of rekha bhardwaj and shrdha pandit(after long time) a perfect song I would love to add it on my morning playlist with above mention songs.
arziyan saari main chehre pe likh ke laya hu" just too beautiful, after gulzar I think prasoon can take the place, since I have highest regad for gulzar ji, i like to hear song with some meaningful song this one is class act it reminds me kwaja mere khwaja(that was brilliant too) javed ali and kailash kher made this song even more wonderfull, needless to say about rehman's composition its as usual superb
"dararen dararen hai mathe pe maula marramat mukaddar ki kar do mere maula"what beaufil lyrics I cant get enough of this song.
"bhor bhaye" wow that was something "ustaad bade gulam ali khan and shreya ghosal " come together for one of the superb classical songs of bollywood, i think my morning playlist is growing like never befor .i have no words left, i just cant descibe it in words it gives me shievers everytime I listen to the song.hats off to rehman & rekesh mehra for such a song and above all "bade gulam ali ji" it was just classic.
"yeh delhi hai mere yaar bas ishq mohabbat pyaar the opening says it all superb title song blaze benny dayal, tanvi all comes together for the lyricic brilliance of prasoon joshi
" iske baaye taraf bhi dil hai iske daaye taraf bhi dil hai
kabhi pyaar me gaali deta hai kabhi gaali me pyar bhi hota hai"
just brilliant, the backdrops of the song ares imply mindblowing I think it will rock in every house of delhi and will be unofficial delhi anthem.
"dil gira da-fatan" I cant help it but admire prasoon it gives you a nice soothing feeling very untypical romantic song which only rehman can give(i think I have heard this word da-fatan after long time since "khench lena wo tera parde ka kona da-fatan"in the song chupke chupke raat din from nikaah), ash king I dont know if he is new singer coz I havnt heard his name before? but I treet to hear such a song.
"genda ful "is a typical folk song with a certain u.p. flavour in it it was nice to hear such a song rekha bhardwaj is just brilliant she should sing more.
"hey kala bandar" starts like o humdum suniyo re but never mind katihk, naresh, bony, and srinivas comes together for a tade bit philosophical song if you listen it properly, rehman's arrangement in the song is brilliant .
"masakalli" is the song of the year till now for me, ever since first promo came out I am hooked on the number, mohit chauhan changes his voice texture for the song which works superbly in the favour of the song, i love the way prasoon plays with the word
"ghar tera saloni badal ki colony dikhla de thenga jo udna na jaane
tujhe kya gam tera rishta gagan ki bansuri se hai"
just too good .
"noor" is like reciting a poem just like there were 10 peoms in dus kahaniya amitabh bachhan is effective in this one.
"rehna tu" reminds me of "tu bole glaas adha from jaane tu. almost same texture and style of singing but even more effective then previous one .benni dayal is supporting with rehman on the front makes this one a sure shot winner.
its indeed a gift for all a.r. rehman fans after winning the golden globe yes he rocks this album will go down as a claasic in the history, every song is different from each one yet very effective
DESERVES A PAT ON THE BACK, WELL DONE.
