''You will be deceived with what you see'' is what the promos say and they are dead on target. The movie that has been directed by Aneez Bazmee is much better than the stuff that has been dished out in the name of entertainment these days.

The movie, to put things mildly is a triangle .The characters involved are Raj (Akshayee Khanna) a young and successful lawyer who is called upon to fight the case of Karan (Ajay Devgan) a struggling music director who has been accused of brutally murdering the owner of a music company .Karan has the sympathy of Sargam (Urmila) his childhood friend and now a successful singer.Raj is attracted towards the beautiful Sargam and Karan is also secretly in love with her. Rest of the movie needs to seen and not told.

The major attractions of the movie are power packed performances by the lead actors. Ajay Devegan is outstanding as the disturbed Karan delivering a power packed performance. Akshayee Khanna delivers yet another convincing performance after Humraaz. Urmilla unfortunately is not left with much to do and is sidelined for most of the movie. The scenes involving the confrontations between the two lead actors are great.

The major letdown in the movie is its music score .Instead of upping the sale value all it tends to do is break the narration .That is a flaw that can be easily overlooked .Do watch the movie as soon as you get time.

p.s. The category that will be keenly contested this year at most awards functions looks most likely to be the villain’s category. With leading actors showing no inhibitions in portraying shades of grey there seems to be more scope for experimentation in this category rather than play the chocolate boy next door in candy floss movies. With most stereotype movies failing at the box-office it almost looks certain that doing something different is what could only be a formula for box-office success.
