Three weeks after Garam Masala, here comes one more laugh riot in form of DEEWAANE HUE PAAGAL.Deewane huye Paagal, which seems
to be sequel of AWAARA PAAGAL DEEWANA, is exactly not at all related to Awwara Paagal Deewana.Only similarity being that the
Cast and crew is more or less same like of APD, with an exception of Female Lead.

The Movie...
Deewane Huye Paagal is directed by Firoz Nadiadwaala who have already given us movies like Lahu ke Do Rang, Hera Pheri, Awaara
Paagal Deewaana, Aan.After a multiple round of replacement in star cast and director of the movie, the film was directed by Vikram Bhatt, who replaced Ahmed Khan. Even the story of the movie was also changed completely from the initial one.
The Plot...
Tanya is an attractive girl and everybody falls in love with her at first sight.Karan who also studies in same college also
fell in love with her. He saves Tanya brother from the son of mehboob (underworld Don) and they start liking each other after
that. But circumstances got changed as Tanya unknowingly holds a formula of scientist brother of Mehbbob and also witnesses a
Murder and has to leave the country.
After knowing that Tanya is in Dubai, Karan with help of murghan hires Rocky to find Tanya in Dubai. Rocky arrives in Dubai and
find out the whereabouts of Tanya, but he also fell in love with her. And he continues to investigate, he founds that he also
has a good friend Sanju, who always helps her from being get ditched.Sanju also loves Tanya. Then there is Tommy who is
handicapped also in love with Tanya.
In the mean time Karan and underworld Don mehboob also arrives in Dubai in search of Tanya.
What happen next? Who gets Tanya in the end? What happens to formula? This is the plot on which story moves on.
Won't be revealing too much of it as it will be wonderful watching it of your own.
The Performance...
Akshaya Kumar AK once again proved that he can do comedy with ease. After Garam Masala, he once again was outstanding in this movies. Do look out for his expressions in the movie; they will make you burst into laughters.Must say another good performance of the year in comic role by Akshaya Kumar.
Suniel Shetty plays a role of handicapped person who walks on cruthes.The way he walks is so funny. Though he was not so good in the movie as he was earlier seen in comical roles in HERA Pheri and Yeh Tera Gahr, Yeh Mera Ghar.
Shahid Kapoor Though being a comedy movie, Shahid Kappor holds the emotional part of the movie. He is not given any comic dialogues aur scene in the movie.He was there in the movie only for emotional scenes, and being comic movie those scenes were just hampering the pace of the movie, so his role was just ok.In other words though he was the central character but was wasted. Most of the time he was trying to imitate Sharukh khan.
Rimi Sen Well, she was looking gorgeous in her outfits revealing her Tan colored body. This time she got much scope of acting then her last two releases Garam Masala and Kyon Kii...
Vijay Raaz After the main characters, he was the one who tickled the funny bone of the audience whenever he was on the screen. His comic timing, dialouges, expressions outfit all were just perfect. In my opinion though the role was short, but he made audience laugh most of the time
Paresh Rawal We al know he is very good at comedy, but if we see the caliber of Paresh rawal, he was very much under utilized in Deewane Hue Paagal.His role never matched up with what he played in Hera Pheri,Hulchul or Hungama.He was given just a minimal dialogues which no doubt made us laugh, but he must have used better then this
Among Others Johny Lever was very loud and Om puri was a total disappointment.
Vivek Oberoi as an anchor or say sutradhaar was very very irritating. whenever he appeared on screen every body felt sick. He was really pathetic. and to the surprise he also sung a song in the movie penned by Vikram Bhatt.
My Opinion...
In my opinion movie is so so as far as story line is concerned. Strong point of movie are the comic performance by Akshaya Kumar,Vijay raaz and Paresh rawal.Other good thing was exotic location of Dubai. The visuals of Dubai was really breath taking sometimes. Also worth mentioning the action sequence in the climax were filmed very nicely. The stunts and fight scenes in midst of desert were awesome.
The weak points of movie being untimely and boring songs which always hampered the pace and interest in the movie. Second being presence of vicek oberoi as anchor. His performance may affect his coming up movie Home delivery.
The Music...
This time music of Anu Malik for Deewane Hue Paagal was a complete let down. Only one song ''Chak le'' was good and that too because of its presentation and some energetic dance sequence by Shahid Kapoor.
Other songs like ''Meri Jaane jigar'',''Maar Sutya'' and ''Aisi Umar mei'' were complete waste and as I said they just killed the interest in the movie. More over Anu Malik played back for Shahid Kapoor which was totally a mismatch as his voice doesn't match up with Shahid Kapoor from any angle.
In nut shell not a memorable Music
