It begins with the story of Carl Jung, the famous psychiatrist, and psychoanalyst. The book highlights the unique experiments and habits of several people are producing elite products and the top cream of the society. The book highlights the importance of Deep work - a term which the author uses extensively to distinguish between a person with intense focus and a person with the task designated as shallow such repetitive tasks. The world has shifted from Industrial age to information age and so do our habits. Now we are engaged in so many repetitive tasks in the world of distraction where maintaining high level of intensity and producing elite products different from ordinary is a challenge. The book enlightens on some basic techniques and habits that could be inculcated in our day today lives to achieve high level of intensity for whatever we want to achieve in our lives. There are lots of experiments which author has highlighted performed by various scientists and researchers which point out that Deep work is indeed valuable resource to be adopted. the book also gives arguments and counter-arguments about our multitasking CEOs of the different organizations. The book is highly recommended for people who are looking for self-improvement guides and who want to maximize productivity in their daily lives. For people who are addicted to social networking sites, chatting groups its a good book if you change your perception about the social networking sites.

There are no cons which I can think of at the moment.
