Students from nearby come to this university because they think it is better to study here than in a private college. I live in gorakhpur and heared that it a good university so I took admission in it but now I regret. I am a b.com student and my experience here is not good. Teachers donot take intrest in teaching. They come very late to class or sometimes donot come. They sit in the staff-room and chat. Classrooms are not good either. Furnitue is broken, fans not working, no water supply etc. Management is poor. No one helps is you ask one for. Many student donot come due to such reasons. Student have to take coaching classes outside. Books are not refered by the university. Marking is the major issue here the toppers reach 60 to 65% marks. I donot recommend studying here. You may opt for DU or BHU.
