Dedh Ishqiya. Review on Dedh Ishqiya

Last night when I checked the seat availability status, It was like seats were getting full, So I hurriedly booked a seat for me through BookMyShow. First day first show confirmed!

I entered PVR, Sahara to see less hyped movie. By the time show started, I realized that total no. of viewers were actually less than the no. of seat columns. Thankfully movie didn't get canceled. But one more concern! How would be the movie? I just hoped it was not another Crap. But once Arsad Warsi started saying the initial joke my all pessimistic thought vanished.

Plot:

Despite calling Arshad Warsi as son, Arshad and Nasseruddin Shah are friends in their stealing activities. While trying to steal a necklace from a jewellery shop, they encounter with police. Nasseruddin manages to fly away while Arshad gets stuck in trap. Somehow Arshad also manages to skip death and goes on the hunt of his partner who has taken stolen necklace alone.

Nasseruddin reaches village where a Gazal competition is being held. Whoever wins it, will get crowned as'Nawaz Saheb' of the place. Many people come there to win heart of Madhuri Dixit along with Vijay Raaz who comes as MP.Saheb. With shayeris written by "Manoj Pahwa', he has a dream to be Nawaz Saheb of the city.

Arshad Warsi reaches the village and finds Nasseruddin. But after seeing at Huma Qureshi(friend of Madhuri Dixit), he falls in love with her. Arshad and Nasseruddin plan to steal the money of palace, but some other incident changes the story. Watch the movie to know more about Nasseruddin love for Madhuri, Whom will Madhuri choose as her'Partner' and how will the story end!

Performance:

Even in his Old stage with white facial hairs, Nasseruddin shah fits in his job. From a clever thief to'Shayer', he does his job very well. His Chemistry with Madhuri as a Shayer and Begum fits to some extent. His Urdu dialogues, acting and appearance are watchable. Madhuri Dixit has performed very well though story of the movie doesn't give her the maximum role.

Her appearance, Urdu accent, dance and nevertheless her beauty is watchable. Another finest performer of the movie is Arshad Warsi. He is equally good in rough languages as he used to be in Munna Bhai Series. He makes audience laugh at some of the times. Huma Qureshi has done very good job in supporting role. Other protagonist and antagonist actor are fine. Overall, you find very good individual and team work performance.

My view:

There is nothing much to say about music, but its story line with few twist, climax makes the movie watchable. Abhishek Chaubey must be happy with his direction though movie may not be as hit as its earlier sequence Ishqiya. But a good word of mouth can boost its box office in coming days.

Conclusion:

The story of the movie is not the one we see often. It has nothing such special that makes you feel you should watch it in theater. If you are somebody who loves the mass movie and action movie, this may not be of your choice.

You may be ignoring it, but its true, if you enter the theater, you won't get bore. it is a very good movie which you will love till the end. It has a class and you won't regret the decision of watching it even if 90% of other adjacent seats are vacant. Thanks to overall effort of direction, story and cast performance.

This movie might be having very less viewers, there may be negligible whistles and hooting while people watch it, it might fail on box office, still, it is worth watching. More ever, if you are the one who feels promoting a genuine film is necessity, Watch it in theaters!
