Again, surprising - no reviews here! Decathlon's only store in Goa is located at Calangute right on the busy happening tourist street of the popular Calangute beach.
I have been looking at their products online for a long time, however did not have an opportunity in a long time to visit the actual store due to pandemic. I visited this store a few days back, when the restrictions were relaxed a bit.
Location: I have already described above, Calangute is a world famous tourist place and easily accessible and the store is right next to the popular street.
Parking: They have a very small parking lot, around 5-6 cars can only fit and you have to look around for other parking areas and considering this is a busy street - it can be challenging at times.
Ambience: Very nice! Its a ground plus one store with ample space to move around with good lighting, changing rooms, mirrors etc.
Store and Range: Huge! The variety and range of products are endless. There are sections for each sport: Football, Cricket, TT, Badminton, Boxing and the list goes on. You name it and they have it. They also have equipment for other outdoor activities like Fishing, Camping, Trekking, Hiking, Boating, Cycling and again the list goes on and on.
You need to decide on what exactly you need to buy, else it would easily take a day for you to browse through every section!
Payment: There are also several offers and discounts and you don't have to stand in queue to pay your bills - just download their app and pay online.
Staff: The staff are courteous and would go that extra mile to assist you in finding what you need.
Value for money? Absolutely, there are things for every pocket and every section of the society, economical, branded, extravagant, for everyone - decide what you need, the budget and grab it!
Quality: The quality of products again is excellent - most sports, camping related items are by Quechua and quite reliable - go for it!
