They call her the best writer of murder stories and she is the best in the game of murder..Actually I had not read a single book of hers till he last couple of months but since I finished my first book all I have been doing is ''Read-finish-pick up another one''.. All her novels are written with such skills that it throws you of the track giving false leads..Ofcourse Hercule Poirot is there to guide you in the end to throw light on how the actual crime took place..His analysis of the murder in the psychological aspect is just superb and his loyal, faithful friend Hastings provides the much needed sort of funny relief in the other wise grim and moody atmosphere created by the author..
The novel starts with Hercule Poirot taking a vacation in egypt..He plans to go sailing on a ship and in the ship he meets a bunch of mysterious people..And then the inevitable happens..The author builds up such a mood in the book that you can't helpbut think a murder is round the corner..And finally it happens..You can't keep Poirot away from a murder for long, can you?He is lured into the mystery and interviews all the peple on board..From this it is confrimed that the murderer is on ship..but who??all the people seem have a perfect alibi..And guess what? The person most probable to have commited the murder has the perfect alibi..Can Hercule poirot solve this intriguing case??
Agatha Christie is at her best in this novel throwing the readers of the track giving false leads and dummy clues..But What does Poirot do?He does not search for fingerprints on the door knobs,he does not search for bloody knives and neither does he judje people by their face..all he does is sit back in his chair and uses his grey cells..As he says ''Murder is just a puzzle..Put together all the parts and there you get the answer''..very true..Do not miss this one..it is s great read..
