Those good old days...good old days? What crap! Nostalgia is mostly poorly disguised craving for a second attempt- a retake in life; I am just glad that I've left my school and college days behind me. It was fun no doubt-but frankly, I was never one for enjoying exams n assignments- I mean you need to be there to feel the nerve-racking tension of getting marks/grades.

The suspense of these moments must have reduced my lifespan by a good 10 years! To deal with this, to my mind the only way is to think-as I often do..after all you live for 50-60 years(sometimes, more-but that's sheer bad luck!)At 21, I can hardly recall the marks I got in the second unit test in class VIII math-nothing hardly matters; my other grandiose view of existence goes like this-Planet Earth, Solar System, Milky Way, Orion Arm, The Universe-this is where we are; there ARE aliens too..plus so.. many earthlings-does your grade in Microprocessors matter to anyone??? No buddy-so have a blast-enjoy school-get some knowledge while you are there; but basically do it for the learning and more importantly, CHILL OUT!!!

Tips to emerge unscathed from the educational tangles of schooldays:

  1. Respect your teachers-that really helps :-)

  2. Have friends-LOTS of them.

  3. Fight-You don't HAVE to like anybody-your opinion is most important-atleast for yourself.

  4. Don't cheat-it NEVER pays. NEVER.

  5. Co-curriculars- very very important; play, act, rhyme, debate, paint-do SOMETHING.

  6. Learn something new EVERYDAY.

But always remember, it is your life. Study for yourself-once you realize that it is each one to him/herself, you will be motivated-and yeah, all the best for that exam just around the corner.
