-- the crab with the iron claws --

Once upon a time there was a human body. It was functioning like a well oiled machine, a powerful factory that could take on the competitive world with ease. The human body thrived, grew powerful and everything was fine.

Suddenly, a day came, when the human body felt weaker. Fatigue and body pain. Breathing became difficult. It slipped into depression. Its condition deteriorated.

The human body was in the vice like grip of the Crab - Cancer!

It was a sneak attack

The human body didn't have a clue where the Cancer came from. That's what makes Cancer such a deadly disease. It can hit anyone at anytime. A simple mutation inside the body is all it takes. A mutation that triggers a chain reaction that spreads and eats the body from inside. Its a war.

but who will be the victor.

Cancer? or the Human Body? Personally, I dont have an answer to that because this is one war that can go either way. But.

Being a human being. you have to realize one thing.

~ We've been sent to this planet to live and SURVIVE

~ This planet has everything we need to live and SURVIVE

~ Our mission is to live and SURVIVE!

We were sent to Earth with a special gene - THE SURVIVAL GENE!

- End of Part 1 -

Having talked to scores of cancer patients both online and offline and having seen a sister and a couple of other relatives go through this ordeal, I realized a few things.

Cancer isnt as harsh as it seems.

As weird as that sounded, Cancer is just a disease. Ebola is scarier. AIDS is more traumatizing. Cancer at least has a few treatment options to offer. The evolution of Medical Science has ensured a decent survival rate.

Whats more painful than cancer, is the mental trauma that cancer brings. The actual disease isnt what brings you down - its Fear of Cancer and the humiliation that has to be endured due to physical transformations and trauma - thats more dangerous than Cancer.

Human Beings are tough!

After the initial shock of cancer wears off, the Survival Gene kicks in.

You find yourself down.

Every door is shut.

Its the darkest phase of your life.

You are staring at death in its face.

And thats when Willpower kicks in! And you get up and fight. win or lose. you aren't going to give up.

Having spent several years in various cancer forums and yahoo cancer chat talking to people with the disease. and having witnessed my sister overcome the disease - I realized this fact of life - no disease is above us - We are stronger than any disease!

But for that. we need our minds to be strong. A strong mind can heal a weak body. A strong mind will never give up.

Once the seeds of that thought are sown inside a cancer victim's mind, the race to recovery will be on an easier path. Often, its not the disease that kills. Its the inability to fight the disease both on a mental and physical plane.

- End of Part 2 -

If you are a victim of cancer or you know someone who is one - this is the best piece of advice you can ever give or get - FORTIFY YOUR MIND AND BODY! Cancer is a war that can be won with a strong mind and a strong body.

Proper nutrition and clean living goes a long way.

Cancer treatments range from the dreaded Chemotherapy to more milder, natural therapies where herbs replace chemicals. Sometimes surgery is the only option. Whatever it takes, the only objective is to beat the disease. The crab should not win! The crab should be destroyed!

There are side effects. There is a price to pay. Hair loss, organ loss, degrade in quality of life. there are many things to deal with. But once the crab has been destroyed, you can go on a path of recovery - hair grows back, you body copes with its losses and the quality of life can be slowly regained.

I found that peer groups help. When people talk to others who are going through the same trauma, it helps. It also helps to talk to people with an understanding heart.

The one thing to be avoided is PITY - self or for others. Pity never cured anything. But encouragement has. Support has. Motivate, Encourage and Support!

- End of the whole review -

I've meandered through this review. It was just free flowing thoughts and experiences gathered over the years. I offer no scientific recommendations, nor medical advices. All I know is that a strong body and a strong mind has a better chance of survival in any case.

So strengthen your body and mind. And never give up.

A lot of websites including https://cancer.org offer a lot of info and also gives people an opportunity to share their experiences with others.

Its also easier for people to talk to people online because there's no physical
