Dus Point Review of movie-Dasavatharam

1.The movie begins with a bang--people banging to open the temple door with a huge tree trunk Kamal tries all his might from within the temple to resist but finally people throw open the many technical flaws, of the much hyped dasavathaaram

1. Too many characters to remember, it would have been much better had it been a tolerable Penta or Hexa - avathaaram at best, the rest is bull*hit.

   
   




2. The make up man has done a sincere job rendering all what he has learnt and it is shown on almost all the TEN faces (to the disappointment of the audience) and Kamals emoting comes through all those layers of latex, truly a miracle by Indian cinema standards. No wonder he loudly proclaims ----Ulaganayagan!!

   
   




3. A massive stone sculpture transported by balancing on two boats & dropped in mid ocean (at the beginning of the movie) was shrunk to a small statue one tenth the size (honey I shrunk the kids Indian istyle) when

   
   

it was washed ashore (at the end) by the tsunami, truly NaCl has amazing

properties like shrinking of stone sculptures, a fact proven by the

dasavatharam team on celluloid.

1. Talking of NaCl even President Bush is shown ignorant of it,

comedy is hidden even in subtle dialogs one has to be very attentive -- else

you miss humour.

1. The tsunami itself was blown out of proportions rendering

the boats infinitesimally small thus losing out on credibility and symbolically

cutting the audiences imagination also down to size!

1. Mallika manages to violently gyrate and has all eyes on

her as there is very little left covered.

1. Asin should have carried a gadda used by Hanuman, instead

of the idol to make comparisons complete.

1. Singer Sardar gets the floor rocking, (he is supposed to

be sick) thanks to the giant stroley loaded with medicines; the sight of this

consignment keeps sardar on stage longer.

1. If at any point the director feels that you are likely

to follow the story line a car chase comes in (to his rescue) and derails your broadband

thoughts to dial up ones.
