Writing after a long gap on MS and on my favorite category MOVIES. This time as you have known by now DARNA ZAROORI HAI.

Darna Zaroori Hai is sequel of DARNA MANA HAI.Very much like first part this movie also goes along with 6 different short

Stories.

The Plot

Movie has got 6 different stories which can be said as sub plots of the main story.

5 children on an annual school picnic take a diffrent route to jungle for doing something adventourous,but land into a bungalow .That bungalow is owned by an old lady, who bet to make those 5 children scare by telling diffrent stories.

Story No 1

A professor (Amitabh Bachan) claims that there is someone in his house to his student (Retiesh), when he comes to his home for clearing some doubts during exam.Retiesh don't believe him initially but gets a goose bump when he saw a man in the mirror.

Directed by Ram Gopal Verma

Though as a story it was not scary but the special effects of sound and the instant reaction from Amitabh is what makes you jump from your seats.

Acting wise Amitabh was ok.Retiesh is the one who should be looked upon for his expression of fear.

Story No 2

A man(Arjun Rampal) got his car stalled in one rainy night, and seeks shelter in house of married couple (Bipasha Basu,Makrand Deshpande).They makes him scare by playing a scary prank on him, which left Arjun Rampal fully into spooke.Later the couple apologies to him.Makrand, who believes in Spirits insist Arjun that he will call spirit of a mechanic to get his car repaired. But there is something diffrent in store for the couple.Arjun turns out to be the spirit who had a accident just in front of their house.

Director Prawal Raman

This episode is well directed and very well executed by 3 actors.Arjun Rampal's expression are noteworthy.Bipasha dialogue delivery in sensuous tone is good.

On the whole this episode goes on the same track what Vivek Oberoi and Nana Patekar played in DARNA MANA HAI.

Story No 3

Suniel Shetty is married with Sonali Kulkarni with a kid. One fine day a stranger(Rajpal Yadav) enters their house for as an Insurance Agent and convince them hard to take an insurance policy from him. He tries hard to explain them about the benefits of insurance, but Suniel shetty gets irritated with his behavior and by mistake he kills Rajpal Yadav.

Director Vivek Shah

The weakest story in the whole film. I never understood what was there to get scared of. It was simply a very boring and uninteresting story as a whole.

Performance wise there was nothing much for Sunil Shetty and Sonali Kulkarni.Main focus was on Rajpal Yadav and he was sounding very loud and was overacting.

Story No 5

A Director Karan Chopra(Anil Kapoor),who is a big name in film industry and has given big hits in form of family drama, tries to experiment his hand with Horror Movie this time. He writes a story, but to write the climax of his film he decide to go to his villa in khandala.On the way he gives a lift to a beautiful girl(Mallika Sherawat).During there journey Malika tell him that she got killed on the same highway and after that she is wandering as spirit. She takes lift and kills them brutually.As Anil starts to get scared she says she was joking.Anil take her to his villa, where mallika again tries to petrify him, which in result in a cardiac attack to Anil Kapoor and he dies. She then tries to explain that the was just acting to get a role in his new movie as she didn’t get any chance in audition.

Director Jijy Philip

Good story coupled with very good acting by both leads Anil and Mallika.

Story No 5

Randeep Hooda rams into a women on one rainy night and lands into jail with a charge of murdering a man. Police officer (Zakir Hussein) interrogates him about the murder but nothing joins the link. Later mother of the victim (Rasika Joshi) comes to police station and there all the truth open up.

Won’t write in detail for this episode as this need to suspense.

This episode was the best of all in whole movie.Story,Direction and Acting.Randeep,Zakir and Rasika all of them excels and have given 100% to the roles.

Now back to main story, after every story told by old lady, a kid into group of five is found dead and turned into spirit.Though the main story was very loosely directed, made no sense to me at all.

If I have to arrange these five stories on a scale from best to worst,series will go like this

On the whole movie can be recommended as a good time pass with some thrilling and scary moments. But on the same time one should not expect something extraordinary from this.

As compared to DARNA MANA HAI,Darna Zaroori Hai is far more better.It leaves an impact when you come out though not much.

So this was my take on DARNA ZAROORI HAI
