I wonder everytime whenever I read reviews about Darna Zaroori Hai that it is better then its prequel Darna mana hai, I am surprised that why people most of the time degrade better, sensible and more intellicutual movies then the inferior ones. Infect the calibre of DMH was very high and it was for intelligentisa gentry, if DMH is like a Shyam Benegal film then DZH is like Gudda Dhanowa's pathetic low level film.
I was waiting very anxiously for DZH for the last three years since 2003 as DZH was announced immediatey after DMH from which I was immensely impressed and DMH is one of my all time most favourite films that entertains me a lot evertytime I watch it. But I am really very bitterly disappointed after watching DZH that has much bigger star cast then DMH.
DMH was a very well made, treated, composed and knitted film. The charactrers were beleivable, the six friends, their conversations, their reactions and comments were very natural and likable while the children in DZH are irritating like anything and give a very typical mood to the already very cliched film.
The stories in DMH very having very deep thought related to human psychology. Bearing Shilpa Shetty';s apple story, all of the stories entertained u immensely and gives plenty of satisfaction to ones needs of wathcing something innovative and unusual. The bomna irani stiory deeply rooted with the psyche of a grownup who has a mind of a child who watches tom n jerry and destroy evrything that does not obey him. Sohail khan's and Nana patakar's story gives u good shocking horror element, Raghuveer vadev story of homework gives u the deep feeling of sub-conscious guilt that one does in his childhood and the stop story was very interesting and brings ur mind to the unseen territories.
But DZH has nothing such elements. It starts with pathetic scenes and ends at disappointing and brainless note. Even the title song of DMH was very tasteful and the picturisation was profound and mysterious, while DZH opening song with the cheap and C grade films' looklike heroine Nisha Kotharee is simply cheap, un artistic, tacky and useless.
The stories are very childish and have no deep thought backing them. Amitabh's story was such a waste of time that at the end u really feel that why RGV selected the most pathetic, incomplete and baseless story to showcase his and AB talent ????
aRJUN raMPAL'S story was a bit better but still the repitation of the theme that WHO IS REAL BHOOT? gets at ur nerves after a point and starts making u bore and u start thinking that is their no other approach towards horror films rather then bhoot, who is bhoot, who is not ...?? ..pathetic. Horrible Makrand desh pande's casting as sexy and ravishing Bipasha's husband was also very illogical.
Sunil Shetty's story does not fit in this sio called horror generation film, only the title matches as rajpal yadev constatnly convinced Shetty that Darna zaroori hai to sell his life insurance policy.
Anil. Malika story was better but the jokes on Karan Johar like ''maine bohut maal banaya, aik bangla aur gaadian in filmoan say '' very really very personal and were of very crude nature.It clearly depicts the jealosy from Johar's camp, and I think its also not ethically good to pull others legs in such shanmeful manner.
Randeep Hooda's story's execution was good, otherwise their ws nothing in that stor
y also, also it seems very insamne that why a BHOOT who can fly evrywhere and around the world in few minutes needs lift in a car to go to another town.
The culmination of the film was also dry, un imaginative and steep like rest of the movie.
Its really bad that after the wait of whole three years, RGV has given such a trash and bad film to his fans. He really disappointed me again after senseless junks like Daud, Road and Mr YA miss. Mr. RGV we always expact from u great films like Company, Satya, Rangeela, DMH and Kaun. So please stop giving us these very unpleasent surprises after every one two years.
