Last time I hated Ram Gopal Varma as a producer was when I watched Vastushastra. Ramu makes three types of films 1) ghost stories 2) gangsta or company movies, recasts the same actors. and runs a studio called ’’the factory’’ !!! With a name like that you can imagine the quality of assembly line.
Ramu makes films for the masses (where they are is something we would like to figure out as the theatre was half empty). Based on a concept of ’’Twilight Zone’’ a Hollywood movie in 80’s Ramu makes presents his horror movie in a package of 6 movies.
The star cast is impressive - Amitabh, Mallika Sherawat (no skin show here, bad girl), suneil Shetty (I hope I have spelt the name correctly) Rajpal Yadav, rtc.
Most stories are predictable. The one that really takes the cake as a horror story is one with Ranjit Hooda in it (also has a police inspector). Second best would be one with Bipasha, Arjun Ramphal and Makarand Deshpande in ti.
Like the fat character in the prelude asks for ’’his money back’’ after watching ’’Darna Mana Hai’’ (self effacing humour by Ramu - one of the better stories directed by Sajid Khan)

Go watch Omen, House of Wax, The mirror cracked. See Hitchcock again and again and again. Take a 5 year ’’bhoot’’ sanyaas and make a horror movie for us and surprise us.
