It haunts and chills. Its not as scary as bhoot. But it hits on to a subconscious self. The most different kind of cinematic representation I have experienced offlate. Its not just a story. Its about the scary, spooky things we have heard since we were kids during our 2nd standard days. The six stories are more interesting than the main plot or the one ending thing that the promos have been talking about. Though someone may just pass it off as a compilation of six stories from an Aahat or a zee horror show or an x-zone. But they are much more sticky and haunting. Only because of the performances of the leads in those stories and the spectacular sound effects and background score. Salim-suleiman the music duo should be happy with this. They have really come out with something tailor made that should be a part and parcel of a movie like this. With its genre in mind.

--A couple on their way through a dense forrest road, husband trying to scare his wife, switches off the headlights of the car while he is driving. A scared Antra Mali performs well in a small role.

--A guy who is after anyone who gets in to this Goodhealth hotel, to get rid of their smoking habbit. The spooky signboards ''NO SMOKING''. Boman Irani and Saif Ali Khan are marvellous in this episode.

--The apples have become too dearer these days. Its about 100 bucks per kg. An attempt to emphasize this is ironical, a story of Gaayatri (Shilpa shetty) who is horrified because of the apples she bought 15 Rs a Kg in the market. Silliest of the six stories this one. The apple seller is a regular in RGV flicks. He is also to be seen in the forthcoming movie with Antra mali (Main madhuri dixit banana chahti hoon, a teaser of this movie is being aired during the show).

--What happens when a 2nd standard student Pramila who never used to do her homework, suddenly starts doing her homework, very well, every day without fail? How does it chill the school teacher Dayashankar pandey. The background score to this episode is simply amazing. Raghuvir Yaadav has done extremely well. We need to see more of him in these kind of roles.

--Why is Cyrus still the best Bakra host? Kya bhoot sach mein gaayab ho sakte hain? This Vivek Oberoi, Nana patekar episode is the best among all. Nana and Vivek have excelled in the few minutes online presense of theirs.

--How does the stop-move game we used to play while we were kids (some grown ups still play!!) assumes a very significant role in Aftab's life? The one who tries to commit suicide when no one cares a damn about him. The story is still like a fantasy story to be told to children. But is still fun to watch. Aftab comes up with some surprise, acts well, doing good to whatever he is given.

Direction by Parwaal raaman is slick, just like his mentor RGV, the camera movements, lighting is eye-catching. Amongst the real characters, channel [v] VJ Gaurav Kapoor (still my fav. VJ) is tolerable. Sameera who has been given some role does well. Sushant is okay. The climax didn't disappoint me as much as Bhoot did. Though pretty much like the Sixth sense, could have been the only option to this kind of mindless murder episode. The idea is there need not be a genuine, logical reasoning for murders in this cruel world in Bollywood cinema stories. It happens. Just happens. Its there just to keep you waiting and wanting for more. Only thing that is still mysterious even after the movie finishes is, While I see all the six friends sitting there wondering in the last scene of the movie, where is VJ Gaurav hiding or is he back in the Channel [v] studio hosting for a new show?. A possible hint for a sequel? ''Darna jaroori hai''? Either you like, get thrilled by whatever is offered to you till the end or discard the whole stuff because of the insipid climax. Sometimes even this clicks. Remember Bhoot is a success.
