I must admit I had my reservations about this movie. I thought I would be an image makeover campaign by Mr. Wiston Churchill whom the world started seeing for what he was, a disposable monster. I'm too well aware of the Churchill's vision for his beloved "island", one which led to unnecessary suffering for humans many of which were not his countrymen but were forced to fight British wars. under the imperial umbrella, literally or otherwise.
In short, Darkest Hour is an okay movie to watch, Gary Oldman is definitely receiving an Oscar this coming March and I still immensely dislike Wiston Churchill. All in all if you want to have a taste of history(partially false) go for the movie as an entertainment, don't relate it with the real circumstances.
Moderately recommended to selected audience!
