I have visted this place 3 times, and yet the charm of this place makes me think to revisit there. Firstly, Darjeeling is easily accessible . Nearedt railway staion is NJP and nearest airport is Bagdogra.
From there, its a 2.5hrs journey by car or bus.
Plenty of hotels and homestays are available, but it would be better to book well advance. Low budget hotels to 5stars hotels, there are numerous hotels in there.
Food- for breakfast, you should definitely go to Keventer's. There is Glenary's, sonam's kitchen.
Sightseen- ropeways, toytrain, day trip.
Toytrain can be booked advanced through irctc.
You can also take the toytrain to go to Darjeeling from NJP and vice versa.
There is a package of'Joyride' in toytrain by which you can book seats ofa steam engine toytrain and enjoy the Darjeeling city and outskirts.
Overall it will be unforgettable trip.
